Jose Mourinho: Making Manchester United plans?

Also, discussing the merits of the Player of the Year contenders, how Arsene Wenger has an over-inflated opinion of himself and why it’s time for Manchester City to say goodbye to Vincent Kompany.

If you have anything to add on any subject, we’d love to here from you. We’ve had over 55,000 posts since we relaunched – get involved here.

Who Mourinho would sign if he gets Manchester United job

I definitely see him looking to bring in a few proven world class veterans at Manchester United, which we might actually need at the moment.

If I had my choice of players that might be available and the top world class quality we’re referring to, I’d go with Yaya, Ibra, and Hummels.

Yaya, it’d be brilliant to snag him from City, it’d be a simple matter of him just commuting somewhere else every morning for work.

Ibra has openly stated his admiration for Mourinho and I think would relish the challenge of the Prem, he’d also give us a real big target man up top, something we’ve lacked since Ruud.

Hummels would give us quality, composure, aerial prowess, and leadership out of the back. Those three would give us some much needed strength and size also for set pieces, since we seem to have such a light weight squad as is.

The 11 would be a 4-3-3 for Manchester United looking like: DDG, Darmian, Smalling, Hummels, Shaw, Yaya, Schweinsteiger, Rooney, Martial, Ibra, and Memphis.

That is a dangerous composition if you ask me. I do personally prefer looking for young talent with world class potential, but I would also gladly welcome these players openly. I also think all three would be available and up for the challenge.
