Callum Hudson-Odoi has been sold by Chelsea to Nottingham Forest after a 16-year connection with the Blues.

Hudson-Odoi has signed a contract until 2026 at the City Ground and follows Andrey Santos there after the midfielder moved to Forest on loan from Chelsea earlier in the summer.

Chelsea have said goodbye to Hudson-Odoi after 126 appearances and last season’s loan spell with Bayer Leverkusen. TEAMtalk revealed in August that Forest were the frontrunners for Hudson-Odoi and they have now got their man.

Ahead of his new challenge, the winger told Forest’s official website: “It’s massive for me to be here and I can’t wait to get started. It’s a new chapter for me.

“I know a couple of the boys already which was a big thing for me, and I obviously know the manager well, so it’s nice to be here and see familiar faces around.

“Forest is a big club which won two massive trophies in its history and I’m really excited to play at The City Ground. I know all about the atmosphere having watched a couple of times and I can’t wait to get playing in front of the Forest fans.”

Steve Cooper’s side have also been showing an interest in a third Chelsea raid for Trevoh Chalobah, but the defender does not seem overly keen on the move.

One signing that is set to go through for Forest on a busy deadline day that has also included the captures of Nuno Tavares and Nicolas Dominguez, is a loan deal to bring former Liverpool striker Divock Origi back to the Premier League from AC Milan.
