Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Tottenham starlets Sam Amo-Ameyaw and Jayden Meghoma have joined Premier League rivals Southampton.
Both Amo-Ameyaw and Meghoma were highly regarded by Spurs, having featured for the club’s Under-18s last season despite being just 16 years of age.
Winger Amo-Ameyaw made nine appearances in the Under-18 youth league and played once in the FA Youth Cup in 2021/22, registering one assist.
The forward has also been a regular for England’s Under-16s over recent seasons.
Amo-Ameyaw had also been backed to be given an opportunity in the Under-23s in the upcoming campaign.
Meghoma, meanwhile, is a left-back who is also capable of playing centrally. He also made his senior debut for the club’s Under-18s last season, but featured in just two games.
There were reports of Meghoma being on his way to Manchester United but that came to nothing.
And now, Romano has taken to social media to reveal the duo have completed a move to St Mary’s, with the Southampton paying £850,000 for the pair.
