Stoke have had a bid accepted for Maritimo winger Andre Vidigal

Stoke City have agreed a deal for Portuguese winger André Vidigal with the player set to fly to England for talks and a medical, TEAMtalk understands.

Vidigal is due in England on Thursday for negotiations and to undergo a medical as Stoke look to secure his signature.

Stoke have identified Maritimo attacker Vidigal as a top target as they look to bolster their attacking options for next season.

Vidigal scored eight goals in 32 appearances for Maritimo in Liga Portugal last season, but could not prevent his side’s relegation from the top flight.

Maritimo are resigned to losing one of their prize assets in Vidigal as a result of their relegation and Stoke have moved to try and lure the forward to England.

The 24-year-old would bring versatility to Stoke’s attack given he can operate on either flank or through the middle.

Stoke have already made four new additions to their squad this summer, with Enda Stevens, Ben Pearson, Michael Rose and Daniel Johnson all making the move to the bet365 Stadium and Vidigal could be the next new arrival.
