Impressive Tottenham pair to follow Kane, Conte in getting new contracts as Paratici plans emerge

Tottenham trio Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Antonio Conte and Harry Kane are not the only key Tottenham men in line for new deals as a report claims Eric Dier and one of his midfield team-mates will get fresh terms too.

Both Conte and Kane are facing uncertain futures at Tottenham. Conte’s contract expires at the end of the season and Juventus are reportedly hoping to reunite with their former manager.

The Italian seems content at Tottenham and his long-term transfer demands suggest he will stay in north London for the next few years.

However, Spurs must finalise a new deal soon to prevent him from going to Juve. New terms will also force Juve to pay to release Conte from his Spurs contract, which would give the Premier League outfit financial security if Juve were adamant about landing him.

Kane, meanwhile, will become a free agent at the end of next season as things stand. Spurs fans were given a double boost over the striker’s future on Tuesday.

German journalist Christian Falk states prime suitors Bayern Munich will not sign anyone in January. This gives Spurs more time to finalise Kane’s new deal.

And according to 90Min, Spurs director of football Fabio Paratici is ‘confident’ about Kane extending his contract.

These are two big positives for the club. However, they must continue to work hard and tie Kane down before an exit comes into his mind.

Eric Dier will get new contract just like Harry Kane

The Boot Room provide a look into Paratici’s other plans at Spurs, while citing the Daily Mail. They state Kane will be joined by two team-mates in getting fresh terms.

The first is England centre-back Dier. He struggled under Nuno Espirito Santo but has improved massively since Conte’s arrival.

Dier is now a far more reliable defender and is back in the England setup as a result. He played in the Nations League games against Italy and Germany in September. These were Dier’s first international appearances in almost two years.

The 28-year-old is now set to be rewarded for his return to form with a new contract. The new terms will also prevent Dier from considering a move elsewhere. Like Kane, his contract expires in summer 2024.

The Boot Room claim Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will be offered a new deal alongside Dier. The central midfielder has been one of Spurs’ top performers this season and has had a hand in six goals. He could be set for his most prolific season in the Premier League.

Hojbjerg’s contract is less pressing than Conte, Kane or Dier’s. His deal lasts until June 2025.

However, the Dane is one of the first names on the team sheet under Conte and Spurs must reward him for his top displays.

Hojbjerg is in line for a pay rise which could take him beyond £130,000 a week. He currently takes home £100k every seven days.

Securing these new contracts will be integral if Spurs are to continue on their upward trajectory. They cannot afford to lose some of their key players in the form of Kane, Dier or Hojbjerg.

Conte will be telling Spurs chiefs they must tie these players down and add to the squad in January. This will help the club as they look to catch up with Arsenal and Man City in the Premier League title race.

With transfers in mind, Spurs are reportedly facing competition from rivals Arsenal for a Juventus player.
