Tottenham enter heated race for Arsenal, Liverpool target as Levy eyes double raid on PL strugglers

Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race for in-demand Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, according to reports.
The Belgium international will be available on a free transfer this summer. As a result, he has attracted the interest of several top European clubs.
Tielemans certainly has the ability to get into any team when he’s in top form. So, it would be a major coup for Tottenham to sign him.
Spurs are set to undergo a period of significant change this summer, as club chairman Daniel Levy searches for a new permanent manager, as well as a Director of Football.
Nevertheless, this has not stopped Levy from preparing for the upcoming transfer market. He is thought to be very keen on signing Real Mallorca winger Kang-In Lee, for instance.
Now, according to Football Transfers, Tottenham have ramped up their interest in Tielemans ahead of the summer window.
As previously reported by TEAMtalk, Arsenal and Liverpool also have Tielemans on their radar. However, Italian giants AS Roma are heavily interested in the midfielder, too.
With that in mind, Tottenham face heated competition for the Belgium international.

Tottenham plot double Leicester raid
Since joining Leicester for approximately £40m in 2019, Tielemans has undoubtedly been one of their most important players.
Overall, in 191 appearances for the Foxes, the Belgian has scored 28 goals and made 25 assists overall.
The goals he has scored have often been absolute screamers, too.
For example, Tielemans played a key role in Leicester’s FA Cup-winning campaign under Brendan Rodgers in the 2020/21 season. He scored a stunning goal in the final against Chelsea, which ultimately won his team the game.
Now, after returning from injury, the centre-mid will have to be on top form again to help guide Leicester away from the relegation zone.
However, whatever happens to the Foxes this season, it seems inevitable Tielemans will leave the King Power Stadium this summer.
Interestingly, Tielemans isn’t the only Leicester star Tottenham are interested in signing, either.
Indeed, James Maddison has also been linked with the London club for some time now. Now, despite Manchester United and Newcastle also being interested in the England international, they are thought to be the favourites to sign him.
A Tottenham midfield duo of Tielemans and Maddison could be transformational for Tottenham next season. However, it seems unlikely either player would agree to join the club until a new permanent manager is put in place.
As it stands, Julian Nagelsmann is still the big favourite to take the helm at Spurs next term. However, Xabi Alonso and Vincent Kompany are still on the club’s radar.
It looks like it will be an interesting few months for Tottenham supporters. Whether or not they will add Tielemans and Maddison to their ranks, however, remains to be seen.
