Euro Paper Talk: Conte backed with hard cash with Japan star to sign and Spurs to land Barcelona pair next; Man Utd push boat out for Sevilla man

Tottenham are ready to make three huge signings in January with a Barcelona duo among their targets, Man Utd are going all in to sign a Sevilla star, while Tuesday’s Euro Paper Talk claims Arsenal are making plans over a significant striker signing.

DAICHI KAMADA SUBJECT OF HUGE TOTTENHAM OFFER

Tottenham are ready to respond to Antonio Conte’s sulks this week about the perceived weakness in their squad by financing three exciting signings.

The Spurs boss, reflecting on their miserable defeat to Aston Villa, insists their squad remains way off challenging for the title. Furthermore, he insists fifth is about the best they can expect to finish in, as it stands.

However, chairman Daniel Levy is seemingly looking to appease the Italian with three January signings. And he will hope the additions can take Tottenham to the next level.

First up, Bild reports that Spurs are pushing hard to sign Daichi Kamada. The Japan star is regarded as one of the most exciting talents in the Bundesliga, contributing 32 goals and 25 assists over his four-and-a-half seasons with Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, with his deal due to expire in the summer, Die Adler are desperately hoping to extend his contract. They have reportedly offered him a salary in the region of €2.5m a season, plus bonuses. That works out at around £45,000 a week.

The issue for the Bundesliga side is that, per Bild, Spurs have offered to double that package and are offering around £90,000 a week.

The plan is to sign Kamada as a free agent in the summer, though talks are growing that a deal may be done this month.

Indeed, Frankfurt would reportedly sell for a fee as low as £12m given the 26-year-old’s refusal to sign an extension.

Spurs also want Barcelona pair after deal for Kamada

It seems Tottenham are not prepared to stop there either with two more lucrative signings lined up for the January window.

And the Spurs boss is reportedly preparing for a double raid on Barcelona with Ferran Torres first up.

The former Manchester City man has found himself sidelined by Barca’s aggressive attacking signings over the summer. As such, he has been limited to just seven starts in LaLiga and the Champions League combined.

Now reports in Spain claim Spurs are willing to pounce amid claims Barcelona are willing to sell the 22-year-old for £35.4m (€40m) valuation.

In return, Barca coach Xavi reportedly is casting his eyes on Wilfried Zaha as a cut-price replacement. His deal at Crystal Palace expires in the summer and they believe he can be snared to Catalonia now for a modest fee.

Spurs are also readying a second raid on Barcelona too amid claims they are also pushing hard for Franck Kessie.

The Ivorian moved to the Camp Nou over the summer on a free transfer from AC Milan.

However, he has failed to catch Xavi’s eye and they will reportedly sell for a fee of around £20m. Spurs have already opened the bidding, though it seems their cheeky opening gambit has fallen short.
