Euro Paper Talk: Paratici moves decisively to land new midfielder as Spurs also near £26m right-back signing; Real Madrid confident of landing prized Man Utd youngster

Tottenham look increasingly likely to make eye-catching January raids on Juventus and Sporting Libson for two stars, Manchester United are in growing danger of losing a star youngster to Real Madrid, while Tuesday’s Euro Paper Talk claims Liverpool are in for a Napoli midfielder.

ADRIEN RABIOT DEAL LOOKING LIKELY FOR TOTTENHAM

Tottenham look increasingly likely to win the race for Adrien Rabiot with the club preparing a huge offer to land the Juventus midfielder.

Rabiot is out of contract at the end of the season and looks likely to move on, with an agreement on an extension unlikely. And the France star has already made clear his wish to move to the Premier League with this big admission.

That has led to speculation that Manchester United could be back in the market for his signature. However, a move to London appears more likely with Rabiot wishing to sign for a club who can offer him a better guarantee of Champions League football.

Arsenal are among those seemingly in the mix – but reports in Italy now claim it is Tottenham who lead the chase.

Antonio Conte’s side can offer the 27-year-old UCL football immediately – and that appears to have given them the transfer edge.

Per Tuttomercatoweb, Tottenham are ‘moving decisively’ in the race to land Rabiot. Juventus would prefer to retain his services until the end of the season.

However, Spurs are preparing a package to Juventus for Rabiot in January which will leave them with little choice but to sell.

That will give Conte the additional midfield steel he is craving, with Rabiot also reportedly convinced to make the move now. He was intending to delay any move until the summer. However, Tottenham’s offer of a three-and-a-half-year deal will also convince Rabiot to sign up in the winter window.

Pedro Porro to follow Adrien Rabiot to Tottenham

Tottenham’s business will not stop and end with Rabiot in January either. And it seems the club are in the market to sign a new right-back during the winter window too.

Conte remains unconvinced by both Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal, but now appears to have found an upgrade in Pedro Porro.

Their interest in him is branded the real deal in the Portuguese media with A Bola claiming ‘first contacts have already been made with the player’.

And according to the report, Sporting Lisbon are willing to sell if an offer of at least £26.6m (€30m) comes their way. Sporting rate Porro highly and they reportedly would prefer to keep him, especially mid-season. However, they would be powerless to block his sale with their finances dictating.

Porro’s exit clause is actually set at £39.8m (€45m), though it is unlikely Tottenham will need to go that high.

Instead, they could strike a deal for around the £26.6m mark if they also decide to waive the sell-on clause Spurs currently have on the Marcus Edwards transfer.

The article also claims Conte was convinced by moving for Porro after facing the Spaniard in the Champions League group stages.
