Pundit explains why Tottenham are ‘best fit’ for Serie A star who would fill Christian Eriksen role
Juventus striker Paulo Dybala has been told why Tottenham would be the “best fit” for him as he prepares to quit the Serie A giants this summer.
Juve revealed recently that the Argentina international will be on the move at the end of the current campaign when his contract expires. That news has led to several Premier League already signaling their interest in the attacker.
Juventus CEO Maurizio Arrivabene, when speaking earlier in March, confirmed Dybala’s exit, saying: “The most important change is that Juventus has not renewed Paulo Dybala’s contract.
“Juventus did not renew with Dybala: this is the change that has taken place from October to today. With the arrival of [Dusan] Vlahovic, the technical aspect, the team and the project have changed. Part of those changes relate to Dybala’s contract which has not been renewed today.
“Today’s meeting was friendly, very clear, respectful. On the part of Juve, it was not easy to make a lower offer, and they were not very respectful towards Paulo.
“He spent seven years with us, there’s a respect for him. The decision was made, we thought about it a lot. But I want to underline one thing: the management of Juventus does not make decisions against Juventus, but for Juventus.”
Spurs have been linked with the 28-year-old ever since former Juve man Fabio Paratici’s arrival at the club.
However, Chelsea, Liverpool, and most recently Arsenal, are also thought to be in the running for a player who has scored 151 goals in 415 career games.

Dybala can fill Tottenham area of need
But former Anfield midfielder Don Hutchinson thinks Tottenham are the ideal fit for Dybala.
He told Premier League Productions, as reported by HITC: “Paulo Dybala is a really, really good player. A technical player.
“Tottenham, I think would be the best fit for him. It just depends if he is fit enough and can play most games in the Premier League. It’s a different task compared to Serie A and he hasn’t played too many games for Juve this season.
“He has been in and out of the side. They can’t seem to build the team around him. Contract talks have broken down.
“In an ideal world, he would like to stay in Serie A. But, if he comes to England, then I don’t see him going to Manchester City, Liverpool or Man United etc.
“So, the best fit, for him, would be a club like Tottenham where he could be their Christian Eriksen a few years ago. He has to play as a 10.”
