Despite reports of an illness, the predicted Tottenham team to face Norwich City should see Harry Kane in the starting line-up.
Tottenham’s form over the last few weeks has been exceptional. They have put themselves in a fantastic position to secure Champions League football for next season.
Of their last four games, Tottenham have won three. They beat Leicester City 3-1 at the start of the run then held second-placed Liverpool to a 1-1 draw.
Following that match, they went on to thrash rivals Arsenal 3-0. Last time out, they beat relegation-threatened Burnley 1-0.
Kane has been in fine form over the past four games, notching four goals including a brace against Arsenal. There have been reports of a virus inside the Spurs squad that may have kept Kane out after pulling out of a media event.
However, Antonio Conte revealed that Kane would “for sure” play, and that Tottenham have “the same players” available as they did last game.
Cristian Romero will miss out once again, with Conte confirming he “is not” available.
Last time out – Tottenham 1-0 Burnley
Hugo Lloris started in net. The three centre-back positions were filled by Eric Dier, Ben Davies and Davinson Sanchez – who has started the last two in place of the injured Romero.
Emerson Royal and Ryan Sessegnon played in the wing-back positions, given both of Sergio Reguilon and Matt Doherty are out with injuries.
Between them, usual central-midfield partnership Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg played.
Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura – who came in for Dejan Kulusevski – flanked goalscorer Kane.
Predicted Tottenham team against Norwich
With a win meaning Spurs will secure Champions League football no matter what happens in the Arsenal game, Conte will go as strong as he can.
Lloris will start in net. The centre-back grouping of Sanchez, Dier and Davies are likely to remain as they were.
As are the wing-backs, Emerson and Sessegnon. Between them, Hojbjerg and Bentancur will no doubt play once again.
Son has a chance to win the golden boot, as he is just one goal behind Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah. As such, he is will certainly play alongside the in-form Kane and Kulusevski, who is likely to return to reform the potent Spurs attack.
Predicted Tottenham XI: Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Bentancur, Hojbjerg, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Kane, Son
