Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min celebrate Tottenham goal

The manager of one of Europe’s biggest teams is regularly speaking to a brilliant Tottenham ace as a summer transfer edges closer, according to a report.

Tottenham have brought in two new players this summer, with James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario arriving from Leicester and Empoli respectively. Maddison cost £40million, while Vicario cost £17.1m. The North London side have also made loan deals for Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro permanent.

However, Tottenham may need to bring in a new striker if star player Harry Kane leaves. After entering the final 12 months of his contract, he is being courted by some major clubs.

Manchester United have discussed with Tottenham the possibility of Kane moving to Old Trafford. But Spurs do not want to improve a direct Premier League rival and have therefore managed to hold Man Utd off by putting Kane’s price tag at £100m.

While Man Utd are no longer an option for Kane, England’s all-time record goalscorer may now head to Bayern Munich. They have had a £60m bid rejected by Spurs but are planning to return with an improved offer worth £80m plus add-ons. And on Tuesday, Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg claimed Bayern are the ‘only’ side Kane wants to play for next.

Fellow German source Bild have now provided their information on Bayern’s pursuit, as cited by Sport Witness. It is claimed Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel is in ‘constant contact’ with Kane as he attempts to get the monumental transfer over the line.

Club chiefs above Tuchel, meanwhile, are in talks with Kane’s camp as they try to sort out a contract.

The report adds that it is likely the 29-year-old will end up in Bavaria this summer as he has a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ with Spurs. It states that they will allow Kane to join a non-English club if the right offer arrives, which comes after Manchester City had a bid rejected for him two years ago.

Harry Kane decides on ultimate career goal

If Kane’s Bayern move reaches completion, then he will have the opportunity to complete his ‘biggest dream’ – to win the Champions League.

There is a decent chance this will happen as Tuchel won the trophy with Chelsea in 2021, while Bayern last won it in 2019-20. Although, they will have to overcome formidable reigning champions Manchester City.

For Kane, any piece of major silverware would be incredible as he has somehow not managed to win any team trophy so far in his career.

There is a chance Spurs will reject all offers for Kane this summer to try and keep him for at least another season. But Bild claim that if this happens, the star will tell Spurs that he will leave on a free transfer in 2024 instead.

Meanwhile, an agent has confirmed Spurs beat three clubs to the signing of a Prem ace.
