Tottenham, Arsenal looking to strike deal for one of three Barcelona attackers set to be sold

Sergi Roberto, Ferran Torres Barcelona

LaLiga leaders Barcelona are reportedly prepared to entertain offers for attacking stars Raphinha, Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres, with both Tottenham and Arsenal keen on landing one of the trio.

Barca’s financial issues have been common knowledge for some time, but that did not stop them from splashing out an estimated £150million on new signings over the summer transfer window.

Former Leeds winger Raphinha was one of those players brought in, along with the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde.

Raphinha has made 21 appearances for the Catalan giants this season. However, only 12 of those have been starts and he has scored three goals and added five assists in that time.

Fati and Torres have also struggled for regular game time under Xavi, with the duo only starting seven times in all competitions.

Big things were expected from the former when he took Lionel Messi’s No.10 shirt, having made his senior debut from the club in 2019. However, Fati, who has previously been linked with Manchester United, has been plagued by injury issues and has notched 23 goals and nine assists in 81 games for the club.

Torres tipped for Premier League return

But it’s former Manchester City star Torres who is attracting the interest of the Premier League duo.

The 22-year-old only arrived at the Nou Camp a year ago, signing for £49million.

Throughout the course of his 12 months, the winger has played 47 games for Barca, during which time he’s netted 12 goals and added seven assists.

And according to El Chiringuito journalist Jose Alvarez, via The Sun, Barcelona have not been happy with how the trio are performing and are ready to cash in.

Alvarez also claims that Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele are considered the club’s only “untouchables” players in the next two transfer windows.

Torres’ links to Spurs and Arsenal are not that surprising, given that the north London duo are looking to bolster their attacking ranks.

The fact Torres also has some Premier League experience also makes him an attractive option. He made 43 appearances for City, scoring 16 times, and it came as a surprise when Pep Guardiola decided to let him leave.

Torres is, however, set to start a two-match ban for fighting his former City teammate Stefan Savic during Barca’s recent 1-0 win over Atletico.

The pair fought with each other off the ball, with Torres pulling Savic’s hair while the Atletico defender had his arm tightly wrapped around the Spaniard’s neck.

The Spanish FA’s competition committee announced the suspensions for violent conduct on Wednesday.
