Tottenham intend to complete £30.7m summer signing regardless of who becomes next manager
Tottenham will reportedly complete a key signing this summer regardless of who takes over as the club’s latest manager.
Spurs are without a permanent manager again after parting ways with Antonio Conte recently, with Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason taking charge of the final 10 matches of the Premier League season.
Numerous names have since been linked with the permanent role, including the likes of Mauricio Pochettini, Julian Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique.
And with sporting director Fabio Paratici also departing the club, it appears that planning for summer signings is on the back burner for now.
But according to a report on Sunday, the permanent signing of winger Dejan Kulusevski will not be affected.
Tottenham paid a loan fee of €10million to snatch the player on an 18-month deal in January 2022.
The temporary move is due to run out in the summer, when an option to buy for a further €35m (£30.7m) then kicks in.
There have been reports in Italy suggesting that Conte’s exit has now put that deal in doubt. But not according to experienced Italian journalist Niccolo Ceccarini
In his colum for TMW, he has laid out the conditions needed to turn Kulusevski’s loan stay at Tottenham into a permanent move.
Conte exit has no bearing on Kulusevski stay
And while those conditions are expected to be met, Ceccarini insists that Spurs will still buy the Sweden star no matter what.
Kulusevski is an important first-team player in north London, despite the fact he has not quite had the same impact he did in the second half of last season.
The Swede has scored twice and added seven assists in 27 matches in all competitions this term.
He is expected to be handed a starting role in Richarlison’s absence for the Monday night clash at Everton.
Victory on Merseyside could go a long way to securing Champions League football again, something that will surely be critical to whichever top boss they try and land this summer.
