Tottenham ‘already in talks’ over clever Bayern Munich deal Paratici loves
Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici is hard at work trying to provide Nuno Espirito Santo with a Bayern Munich star to bolster his midfield, claims a report.
Paratici was given free reign to sanction several major deals in the summer. While it is too early to judge, hopes are high the likes of Cristian Romero and Emerson Royal will turn out to be inspired signings.
On the pitch, results have been decidedly mixed. A superb start domestically gave way to a poor run of results. Yet after nine games played, Nuno has Spurs sat just two points off West Ham in fourth spot.
One area of the Portuguese’s squad that appears ripe for improvement is midfield.
A recent report suggested both Dele Alli and Harry Winks are facing uncertain futures in north London. The pair were both axed from the matchday squad selected to face Burnley in the EFL Cup on Wednesday in a game Nuno hailed as a “final”.
One player that would add class to the engine room alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is Corentin Tolisso.
The Bayern and France midfielder, 27, is in the final year of his contract in Bavaria. Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport recently claimed Spurs were the frontrunners to land the World Cup winner when detailing interest from Juventus and Inter Milan.
Now, Calciomercato have shed new light on the situation and it makes for positive reading for Spurs fans.
Arsenal and Spurs receive boost in Andrea Belotti pursuit
Arsenal and Spurs have received a boost in their pursuit of Torino forward Andrea Belotti, with more updates on Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Dejan Kusulevski.
Via Goal, they claim Tottenham are ‘already in talks with the agents of Tolisso’. On the agenda is a pre-contract agreement in January that would lead to a free agent move in the summer.
Paratici is stated to be a ‘fan’ of Tolisso having tried to sign him when working at Juventus. As Gazzetta did, Calciomercato claim Tottenham are currently in pole position.
Tolisso has been hampered with an assortment of injuries in recent years, but when fit, Tottenham would be landing a fine addition and the lack of a transfer fee is an added bonus.

Fiorentina chief raises Tottenham, Vlahovic hopes
Meanwhile, Fiorentina have been unable to publicly rule out a January transfer for Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City striker target Dusan Vlahovic.
Vlahovic is one of the most in-demand strikers in the world. He has outgrown his current club, for whom he scored 21 goals last season and already has seven this term. With a contract expiring in 2023, he looks likely to be on the move in the New Year.
Vlahovic was identified by Man City in the summer as an alternative target to Harry Kane. Coincidentally, Tottenham have also been considering him – despite Fabio Paratici’s denials – in case of their frontman’s departure.
And speaking before their game against Lazio on Wednesday, director Joe Barone was unable to deny Vlahovic could be on the move in January.
Barone told DAZN (via Football Italia): “It’s tough to go into details. We have a game tonight and an entire season ahead.
“There are many games remaining before January. We are very attentive on the market and for all positions, not just the attack. Vlahovic is part of the team. He took a decision and we are preparing for the future, not just in terms of singles, but also in terms of the group.”
