Tottenham are readying a double midfielder swoop – with a £29m USA star top of their list, an Arsenal star is heading for a free-transfer exit, while Saturday’s transfer gossip claims Liverpool are ready to launch a swoop on Chelsea.
McKENNIE SET FOR TOTTENHAM TRANSFER
Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici are both on board with the idea of signing Weston McKennie in the January window, claims a report.
The Spurs boss and the sporting director are pondering their first moves as they look to get Spurs back the English elite.
And according to the Daily Express, both men believe the signing of McKennie would be an excellent move.
The USA midfielder is reportedly up for sale at Juventus having fallen out of favour under Massimiliano Allegri.
And the Italian giants are seemingly seeking a fee of £29m for the 23-year-old.
That fee is well within Spurs’ reach – and Conte reportedly sees the former Schalke man as a perfect midfield foil for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
West Ham are also keen – but the connections of Paratici will reportedly see McKennie head to north London.
Tottenham could even follow that up with a raid on Manchester United for Jesse Lingard.
Spurs' interest in Weston Mckennie driven by Conte and Paratici
Spurs sporting director Fabio Paratici is said to be a big fan of Juventus' Weston Mckennie, with more news on Harry Kane and Dusan Vlahovic.
The midfielder seems certain to leave in January amid a series of ‘broken promises’ from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Hammers are strongly fancied to reunite with Lingard, having impressed for them on loan last season.
However, the Daily Express also claims Conte and Paratici are also keen. As such, they are reportedly considering a move to bring him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
