Sources: West Ham in danger of losing Vladimir Coufal as Prem rivals take advantage of contract situation

A number of Premier League clubs are monitoring Vladimir Coufal’s contract situation at West Ham, TEAMtalk understands.

Coufal is entering the final year of his contract at the London Stadium and several Premier League clubs have made enquiries about the Czech Republic international.

The 30-year-old has established himself as West Ham’s first-choice right-back since arriving in October 2020 from Slavia Prague.

Coufal found himself in and out of David Moyes’ side at the start of last season, with Thilo Kehrer and Ben Johnson both providing competition at right-back.

However, Coufal won his place back in the side, playing a key role in their Europa Conference League success and Premier League survival.

Coufal’s experience and versatility has made him an attractive option to several of West Ham’s Premier League rivals as they look to strengthen their full-back options.

Hammers boss David Moyes is a big admirer of Coufal and would be reluctant to lose the experienced defender before the close of the transfer window.

Coufal has made 108 appearances for West Ham since his arrival at the club. And while he is yet to score, he does have 13 assists to his name and has established himself as a big fans’ favourite at the London Stadium.
