Wolves ‘add player to wish list’ following successful scouting mission in Brazil

Wolves have reportedly added a Brazilian star to their transfer wish list after scouting him earlier this month.
The West Midlands outfit are in a good run of form in the Premier League at the moment. They are unbeaten in their last four matches and have won against the likes of Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
They drew 1-1 with Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United last time out. Summer signing Hwang Hee-chan put Wolves ahead early on.
They looked set for all three points but conceded a penalty in stoppage time. Nelson Semedo brought down Leeds starlet Joe Gelhardt in the box.
Rodrigo dispatched of the resultant spot-kick to make it 1-1 at Elland Road. Wolves boss Bruno Lage will be encouraged by how his team performed even though they couldn’t get all three points.
The Portuguese should have a decent amount of funds available to improve his side in 2022.
Left wing-back is one area they want to bolster. Fernando Marcal has featured there in eight league matches so far this campaign.
However, Wolves need to sign a long-term successor. The defender is now 32, meaning he has entered the twilight years of his career.

Antonio Conte 'very interested' in the Manchester United job
Antonio Conte is reportedly 'very interested' in the Manchester United job should it become available, with more news on Donny van de Beek and Jesse Lingard.
Reports on October 19 revealed that Wolves had begun scouting Guilherme Arana of Atletico Mineiro. The 24-year-old impressed as Brazil won gold at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Transfer guru Ekrem Konur now provides an update on the transfer hunt. He claims that Wolves have added Arana to their wish list.
Club scouts have clearly been impressed by his performances for club and country. They reckon he can adapt well to life in the Premier League.
Arana has already represented two clubs in Europe. He failed to make an impact at both Sevilla and Atalanta, resulting in a return to his homeland.
However, under Lage’s guidance, Wolves could get the best out of him.

Wolves stalwart eyed by Newcastle
Wolves skipper Conor Coady is a target for Newcastle, as per The Sun.
The England defender has been an important player for the club for some time now. He helped them to achieve back-to-back seventh-placed finishes in 2018-19 and 2019-20.
It’s claimed that Newcastle want to make Coady the first signing of their new era. He is viewed as a quality top-flight star with experience playing in Europe as well.
The 28-year-old would help to improve Newcastle’s somewhat leaky defence. He could partner Jamaal Lascelles at centre-back, should a deal come to fruition.
Wolves are confident of keeping Coady as his contract runs until June 2025. They have set his price tag at over £20m.
