Wolves ‘would love’ to win striker race amid Liverpool, Man City rumours

Hwang Hee-chan

Wolves ‘would love’ to win the race for Hwang Hee-chan, according to one journalist, amid rumours of Liverpool and Manchester City eyeing the forward.

The South Korea international joined Wolves on loan from RB Leipzig in August. He has gone on to be a hit with the Wanderers faithful, netting four goals in 14 appearances so far.

Hwang has the ability to play centrally or out wide, which could help him to form a deadly partnership with Mexican talisman Raul Jimenez.

25-year-old Hwang recently picked up a hamstring issue, ruling him out until February. He will be aiming to get back to goalscoring ways upon his return.

Football Insider claim Liverpool, Manchester City and Leicester are keeping tabs on the star as they assess potential attacking reinforcements.

Wolves have the option to make Hwang’s transfer permanent for £13m, as per Sky Sports. But the trio of Premier League rivals could aim to hijack such a deal.

On Hwang’s potential permanent switch to Molineux, journalist Pete O’Rourke told GiveMeSport: “They would love to tie up a deal for Hwang.

Adama Traore bid coming from Tottenham

Spurs are ready to bid for target Adama Traore from Wolves as Conte’s first signing

“He’s really impressed since his loan move from Leipzig, so that would take up a bit of their finances if they were to do that.”

Wolves could balance the £13m outlay by offloading winger Adama Traore to Spurs. Reports suggest Antonio Conte wants to use the Spaniard as an attacking wing-back, should he move to north London.

The Telegraph reporter Matt Law claims Traore’s transfer is ‘looking likely’. It could be in the region of £20m, giving Wanderers a small profit on the player they signed from Middlesbrough in 2018.

Wolves submit serious offer for Monaco starlet

Meanwhile, Wolves have reportedly put €30m (£25m) on the table to sign Monaco’s Benoit Badiashile.

He is a France U21 international currently shining in Ligue 1, and a Prem move now seems to be on the cards.

French outlet Foot Mercato confirm L’Equipe’s claims that Wolves have bid €30m.

However, West Ham are also keen to land the starlet. They are in talks with both Badiashile and Monaco over a potential switch to east London.

Either way, the 20-year-old will likely be leaving Philippe Clement’s team this year.
