Thought Shaktar were a good team. The match showed that CL is definitely a step up. Pity about Mendy. He has added an important extra dimension. I fear he may be out for months.
KDB has been excellent so far. I like the look of Bernardo and what a difference a proper goalie makes.
Sterling has been good too. Chelsea will be our first real testSecond string against West Brom?

It was very much a training match with little intensity. My only and real concern is that without Aguero/Silva/KDB we never look like scoring. Pep knows this hence Sanchez

So midfield 4 Silva KDB Ferna and SaneNot looked like scoring. Weve had nearly 8o% of possession. 2 mins to HT . Just nothing really to shout about.

For me its the Premier League and at least last 8 of CL. It will be tough as there are 6 teams perfectly capable of winning the league.
From the clubs perspective I think winning the league will be tne barometer. Last year we finished 3rd and we were not that good. Imagine if we had had a proper keeper. So thats my expectation!Expectations. Too high or realistic?

We also need some decent sales to offset the purchasesGood performance. Ederson looks like a proper keeper. Could easily have been 4 or 5.

Dr ian as last season proved you need good back up we need 4 CBs in the squad. I would therefore keep Tosin but play him. Bring him on as sub for VK if things are going well in a game. Play him in the cup matches etc.
Perhaps though there may be another signing?
