Sod of JM, Shaw was indeed awesome tonight and only a tw*t like you wouldn’t admit it. Likewise Herrera who you and your gang are constantly trying to get rid of. You couldn’t judge a pig contest let alone spot a decent player. We’ve always had a core of 8/9 very good players we just needed a decent structure around them. And yes I’ve quit the forum but popped back to see if the usual idiots were talking the usual shite and sure enough… Don’t bother replying I’ll be at the redcafe so won’t see it …
You really are a tw*t redblood. Young has given absolutely everything whenever picked and actually been playing really well for a number of years now. Likewise you called Herrera the ‘c’ word the other day for no good reason. If someone isn’t give their all then they deserve abuse, if they’re maxing out their ability them give them some frigging respect. You’re typical of posters on here that called Fergie senile in his later years and even slagged off club legends like Scholes and Giggs the moment they reached 30. I’m done with this forum, its been going down here for a number of years and so have the posters.
Thats rather my point, even if we sign two fantastic midfielders in the summer (which we won’t) then we don’t sell the best 2 midfielders we currently have (Matic and Herrera) – we sell the worst two !
Matic and Herrera are going nowhere, no matter how many times you say it. I expect Mata to stay too.
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but anyone else think we needed Fellaini for the last 20 mins ? We needed some extra physicality and someone to help deal with all the balls into the box when Lorente came on. When the pressure was building I was surprised Ole didn’t make a change – but actually we were lacking that type of option on the bench.
If only that were true …November 5, 2018 at 7:54 pm in reply to: Forget Koulibaly, this is why Man Utd must make colossal Nathan Ake their No 1 transfer priority #1694781
Thats a good idea Zico, drop our fullbacks who are playing well and keep the soft centre that would make Bertie Bassett look good.
Mata didn’t get the memo, and everyone else thought you’re right we just can’t lose to this shower of ****, its just too embarrassing – we’ll get him out the door next time ..October 4, 2018 at 12:13 pm in reply to: 6 Unemployed Managers Who Could Be the Next Hires in World Football #1683388
Conte is probably the only manager in world football I dislike as much as M*******. (Sorry can’t say or write his name anymore.)
Blacky/Jim et al, you can call it emotional b*llocks if you like but I just want a manager that understands the club, will play attacking football, have a decent relationship with the players and someone I can have a bit of respect for.
All a manager has to do is choose the players he wants, motivate them and provide some tactics. How can it be worse than the ‘experienced winner’ we currently have that has a toxic relationship will nearly everyone and drops/humiliates defenders hes bought in preference for out of position midfielders. And I don’t want an experienced manager just doing the rounds that struggles to even speak the language and doesn’t really care about the club.
Maybe one of you could name a manager or even a player that you do like. Slating everything in sight without offering any solution is the easiest job in the world – might as well be a fat journo.
Jim, so if we dared to play attacking football we would get hammered every week because our meagre playing resources are inferior to giants like Burnley and Brighton ? We obviously can’t compete with their star studded squads..
We actually have plenty of good players and a half decent manager could provide both entertainment and results. Maybe not compete for the title – but we’re not doing that anyway. Even that nutty looking wolves manager with a few modest purchases managed to play reasonably attacking football against the mighty city – and still get a result.
Add a quality left sided centre half + a right back that can put in a decent cross + maybe one world class forward (salah\hazard standard) and I think we could win the league. But not with our current toe-rag manager.
Happy, let me turn your question around. Do you think every game we played under LvG was “boring, negative, insipid, turgid, uninspiring football” ? Because it wasn’t. Mostly, yes ! But we had a few great games under him just like Mourinho accidentally plays some decent attacking football occasionally. Even a hopeless gambler wins the odd hand. But the football under Mourinho has been generally dreadful, no better than under LvG, in fact I would say slightly worse.
Would it be better for the long run if we lost ? I have never ever said that before, but Mourinho has to go. Even when results are ok our football is turgid and will continue to be so under him.
Football quality was obviously disappointing under LvG – but you know what I think it was slightly better than our Mourinho – with results slightly worse. And LvG was at least a bit likeable, Mourinho is a total douchebag and always has been.
Zidane, YES YES YES ! Mourinho can go throw himself in a lake. Never a Man Utd manager.
Manthistle, as usual I totally agree. I never wanted Mourinho and want him even less now. We’ve had 3 cack managers and if Fergie was still here he’d be winning titles with this same squad.
Fantasy football used to be good but its been killed stone dead. It used to be pick 11 players with a tight budget and sit back and see what happens. Now its have a zillion transfers and a budget thats so big you can pick the best 3 strikers straight off and have the same team as everyone else…
I’d take Zidane quite happily. At least we might play some attacking football ..
Although I understand why people are saying its a pen, I don’t see what Young could have done differently. He makes full connection with the ball, his foot wasn’t much off the deck at that point, and if you’re sliding in studs will inevitably be shown. It was the impact of the tackle that drove his foot up over the ball and caused the bad looking freeze frame impact. What could Young have done differently other than not attempt a tackle at all ?
Wow ! We got up off the floor to show a desire and passion I no longer thought we possessed. Hats off to Herrera who was magnificient. He hasn’t played a lot of football but somehow dragged out a massive performance. I think his determination and commitment helped set the agenda and everyone followed his lead. His first time chest pass was also the best moment of quality in the whole game.
Second set of congrats to Young who was taken to the cleaners first half – but never threw the towel in, gave everything and made some vital interceptions second half. For the alledged pen he DID get the ball first too – even if red Nev is now turncoat blue and disagreed.
Final congrats to Sanchez whose been playing like a dog and I would have taken off at half-time – but created all 3 goals.
