Go back to school Jay…
I feel no reason to articulate coherent responses for certain individuals around here, (especially as they always miss the point) and you’re definitely one of them Pax 🙂
Paxman, forget the 2nd post, you always put your 2 penneth in. I’m sure you’ll find plenty reason more in this thread to pipe up about…
Simple things please simple minds, apparently…
Hmm, I live in a fantasy land says the obsessed saddo who insists on not jogging on back to his pointless existence. What do you expect to achieve here exactly Jay?
Jay belfast, you certainly come across bitter and jealous what with all the hatred pouring out of you right now. Maybe you should just get on with your day instead of descending further into your silly little tirade…
Nothing funny about your ugly jealousy and bitterness toward Arsenal…
Jealous of Arsenal of course…
lol @ Jay. Jealous cunt…
Respect!
It has been hard to watch United since Fergie retired, even all their ex-players keep saying so too. Last season it was thanks to De Gea they finished top 4 because they were outplayed more often than not. This season isn’t much better to be honest but it’s Smalling this time enabling them to pick up any points at all. They won’t last in the top 4 unless they improve soon…
November 29, 2015 at 12:32 am in reply to: Manchester City: Coming Strong With The Best Goal Difference #718841They’ve been hammered a couple times already this season and looked poor on numerous occasions. I wouldn’t say they stand out as the best team at all. 66 to 1 odds at William Hill that we win 5-0 at Norwich tomorrow and go top. Unlikely but feasible…
From Arsenal you could also include Gibbs, Rosicky and Van Persie. All 3 have suffered consistently with injuries…
Aston Villa v Watford: 2-1
Bournemouth v Everton: 0-2
Crystal Palace v Newcastle: 1-1
Manchester City v Southampton: 2-2
Sunderland v Stoke City: 0-1
Leicester City v Manchester United: 3-1
Tottenham v Chelsea: 0-0
West Ham v West Brom: 1-1
Liverpool v Swansea City: 3-0
Norwich City v Arsenal: 1-2They definitely can! They’re electric at times, which is more than can be said about certain ‘big boys’ ie, United/Chelsea. I feel they have more upside than 18 other teams in the prem and if they hit a run of consistency, they’ll be right in the battle. United are the side I most expect to slide out of the top 4…
Going by Chelsea’s form this season, I wouldn’t bet on them to beat Porto and qualify…
Of course! We have as much chance of winning it as any other challenger. There’s no reason to suspect otherwise. Arsenal are the best team in the land and would cruise to the title if not for the usual reasons; absurdly unfortunate injury lists, atrociously biased refereeing against us, or just downright bad luck…
Thank you badger2!
This thread was beginning to swerve away from what I intended when I started it but your comment brings it back on track.
This was supposed to be slightly different than your bog standard ‘best of all time XI’ teams. There’s no point listing the best players you can think of. I would’ve had a completely different team if I had done that in the first place. As badger2 mentioned just now ^ the players he selected all meant something to him, just like the players I listed in the original post. Anybody could easily say Gordon Banks, di Stefano, Puskas, Pele, Maradona, Messi, C.Ronaldo, Zidane, Platini, Beckenbauer, etc… but have you actually watched them all play? If so, did it mean anything to you when you did?
Of course Barcelona are by far the best at keeping possession, creating chances, entertaining and winning matches, but Arsenal (at times) are the only team (yes, even ahead of Munich) capable of matching and maybe even exceeding their quality. We just can’t do it all the time (or in the biggest games) like they do…
And another incredible Arsenal team goal (though not the best link). Every single player was involved in this build up:
