Wow! Loved it – well done to the whole team but especially youg Billy and Kepa.
Giroud makes such a difference.
Just Wow 🙂Men V boys!
At least the joke VAR decision this time didnt really matter!
Hope we keep it to single figures at their place!!!!February 17, 2020 at 10:07 pm in reply to: Chelsea vs United- A game we cannot afford to lose #1827265That was so painful -i can’t believe how much went against us tonight but lets not let that hide how crap we are.
Wr cant defend and we cant score -we will not qualify for the champions league in 4th or 5th place! Frankly we are not good enough and the daggers may soon be out for Frank. We are making Sarri ball look good ffs!!!
I wish i didnt care so much.February 17, 2020 at 9:03 pm in reply to: Chelsea vs United- A game we cannot afford to lose #1827217Only thing worse than our forwards is the officiating! How was that not a red card for Maguire and how was Willian booked for diving? I just dont see us getting back into this. Hope I am wrong
January 22, 2020 at 11:41 pm in reply to: Chelsea v Arsenal Tues 21/01 ko 8:15pm Live on BT Sport. #1819137Another characterless performance from the team and a worry trend of Kepa failing to make almost standard saves. Leno looked much more in control than Kepa.
Our lack of ability to score goals even from quite clear oppprtunities is costing us and the fact we are still fourth shows just how bad Man U, Spurs and Arsenal are!!!
I dont see us buying anyone in January that will make a difference (if anyone at all!!) and unless the aformentioned teams remain as bad as we are then we will drop out of the top 4.
Lets hope that as winter turns to spring then the team will pick themselves up and give us some late season cheer like they did last season.January 20, 2020 at 3:42 pm in reply to: Chelsea v Arsenal Tues 21/01 ko 8:15pm Live on BT Sport. #1818086Cant see Arteta sitting back against us so must admit I am more confident of a result in this one than i would be against a Norwich or Villa.
Rose tinted glasses perhaps?!Been a while since I posted – yesterday was yet another frustrating day not least watching Franks press conference. It was clear to me he knows we will struggle to make top 4 without reinforcements which he seemed resigned to not getting. Our club will not overspend to get players to us in a difficult market in January and Frank’s comments that “we cant practice finishing any more than we do” tells me he knows he is reaching the ceiling of the players current abilities and that new blood is essential.
Letting goals in as we do towards the end of matches shows we are perhaps not just physically weak but also mentally which we can understand from young players. Perhaps this is where Frank needs to learn that in the last 10 minutes if we still havent won it he needs to make changes to make sure we dont lose it!
When a team dont want to attack us even when they are playing at home then why dont we play 2 up front and make sure we are also set up not to get hit on the counter. Giroud may not score but will create space and chaos in defence that would then help our other attacking forwards. We have in Giroud someone excellent with his head and a brilliant crosser of the ball in James -play them together for once!!
Another spoiled weekend 🙁August 25, 2019 at 11:19 am in reply to: Norwich City away – Saturday early kick off 12.30pm #1777653I dont think Zouma and Christiansen are being asked to man mark. Its zonal for corners and free kicks.
I dont agree that either are playing badly and both are working their way into their position. What is clear is that they have no defensive cover in midfield ahead of them as was seen in Norwich’s first goal where they easily got through both Jorginho and Kovacic.
I also thought Dave was much improved yesterday -in particular his crossing.
We do need to tighten up but i am convinced this will come – in Frank we trust 🙂9 I think Spurs know how they left Etihad with a point -they were just VARy lucky indeed!!! 🙂 🙂
I was at the game and agree with 9 that Leicester are not a physical team but they are certainly more physical than us.
I can see non performing players this season receiving the wrath of fans more than ever -as now we wont/cant blame the manager!
I hate saying it but Dave looks shot especially in a high press fast moving game (well 20 minutes!!). I hope he can get it back.
I still dont get why Kante isnt just sitting to protect our central defenders.
Willian offered nothing and Kovacic coming on when we needed a goal if we really wanted a win was disappointing.
Good to see Zouma improving and the great support for Tammy.
Its going to be a difficult season but when it works its going to be a thing of beauty.
In Frank we trust.

August 11, 2019 at 10:09 pm in reply to: Manchester United v Chelsea 4:30pm 11/08 live on Sky. #1773940So now we just have to win every game and hope City drop points!!! 🙂
Bort -Gib is very small:) we dont need many words lol!!
This reflects the good feeling vibe around the club at the moment. I wonder what stick the media will want to hit us with now given we have a few youngsters signed up and in a position to play regularly next season.
Gib
CHO holding out to get a better deal from the club or is he really not interested in Frank’s evolution and the chance to make it big at the club that built him?
He has some cojones if he walks away from us now to try something totally new in Germany.
We want him to stay but no one is bigger than the club so give him a deadline to sign or sell him.9 – I completely agree -I hope Frank goes personally to knock on his door and tells him he is one of the players he wants to build the team around. Absolute priority to get him on a new long term contract.
Ive already booked my flights for his first game at the Bridge – so excited its gonna be such an atmosphere no matter the result at Man U. Imagine if we win that one!!
Good luck Frank we are all with you!!Yeeeees -at last.
Welcome back Super Franky Lampard.
So excited to have one of our own back in charge.
Listen to all the media twats now say its too early for him!!!
Cant wait for the season to start now!Reports that we have opened negotiations with Everton for Zouma! I hope that we haven’t as i would love to see him back at the Bridge and given an opportunity. I also wouldnt do any deal with Everton after the way they have reacted to us in the past when we have wanted to sign players from them.
