Thanks for sharing your experience Rob. I thought Hodgson was unlucky under poor cowboys H&G.

Thats a piece of poor goalkeeping, leaving an overly huge gap to his right. Payet was already celebrating even before he took the freekick.

I’d pair Matip and Lucas at the back. I am saying it again. Lovren is one of the most over-rated CB since Neil Ruddock. The reason I pick Lucas is becuase he’s also a holding midfielder and reads the game well. His ability to pass out of defense is beneficial to the team. Sakho’s passes IMHO is better than Lovren’s. Lovren’s passing is woeful and painful to watch.

Please leave Sakho out of the equation please. Regardless of his cult status among fans, his attitude and respect towards the team and club is questionable. Lucas is not born center back, but laugh all you can – he is still miles ahead of Lovren. Lovren is probably the most overrated defender we ever had since Neil Ruddock 🙂 No blame game here, but we have just lost our first league game in Dec and I don’t see with the squad that we have could sustain a strong challenge for our first league title in eons. To add, we have Hendo who I think has to improve his forward ball distribution. He is too “Carra” in his role and that’s not good.

Mikus, I understand yr point reg Hendo. But for what he is doing, I think Lucas can do it better. And he is the captain. Yes, its not his choice that he is the captain but we do expect more intelligence from a midfielder. Lucas like Alonso, may look slow but they make time stand still. Their passes are not hurried. Most of our passes today are hurried, not just Hendo. Even Karius look uncomfortable and we were lucky we were not punished for his mistake. The ref was poor and we should have got a freekick near uniteds penalty box when Drogba fouled Milner(yes tht was a foul) when he tried to shoot. De Gea was just outstanding. How he saved from Coutinho, I dont know.

Anyone think Henderson is so over-rated. His reading of the game is very poor.
In the dying minutes when we were trying to win the game, instead of passing the ball forward, he passed to the defence/keeper. He had clear option. Not the first time I see this.

I watched the clip, he got the first yellow for taking off his shirt to celebrate his goal. For the second yellow, his opponent tried to provoke him. But I dont see him retaliate – still got a yellow though. Watch the clip and tell us what u think.

He;s totally over-rated. His great performances are not week in week out or at least consistent. Lucas is a better CB than him. We almost got a clean sheet if not for the incorrect decision by ref vs Leicester.

I always thought James Milner was a puff up Jim Carrey when I was a kid.

Sakho v Balotelli. Balotelli didnt fit our brand of football. The press were always looking to nail him by hook or by crook. They were always painting him in a bad light whereas Sakho had a bright Liverpool future ahead of him. Unfortunately, he shot himself in the foot by his antics. He has to blame himself and no others. Overall, I personally don’t rate Sakho and I am glad he is off very soon.

Benitez is top for sure. One thing apparent is his man management has improved very much from what I observed. Plus, he’s more huggy now lol

I thought that was a memorable match for the wrong reasons. A certain Djimi Traore was playing. Was hanging out at a buddy’s place and we were cursing like hell.

He should be employed as a wing. Not full back. Anyone could see where his talents are. Attacking, not defending.

My first post after an eon since the old yoursay!! I was so disgusted when Allen missed that sitter. Come on, my granny would have put that away! And Benteke too. These just summed up our day. These misses just haunt you. Klopp made an error for not buffing up the midfield earlier than he should have. And Skrtel should be allowed to wear a straitjacket if he was to play. I would have no complains if I were him. He just never fails to tug an opponent’s shirt like a mad man..till a point it’s so embarrassing for a watching fan like me. That penalty serves as a lesson for him.
