Newcastle United are the current flavour of the month as they are poised to embark on a new adventure with Saudi Arabian investment. With all the talk about Mauricio Pochettino being approached and headhunted for the manager’s post once the takeover is complete, I thought I’d throw in my two pence’s worth on the subject. This may come as a total shock to most if it happens, but, I for one, won’t be perturbed to see one JOSE MOURINHO take charge of the Geordies very soon. My reasoning behind this stems from the fact that Jose has always been his own man and cannot be dictated to by his chairmen. The cracks in the relationship between Levy and Jose are emerging as the pair are not on the same page on transfer targets and average age of squad. There had been rumours that Levy was willing to bring Poch back some months ago.
    Let’s wait and watch . . .

With Lockdown in full swing almost all over the world, I thought I’d take this moment to put out a few realistic scenarios that my club Tottenham Hotspur could very well end up facing before next season.
Tanguy Ndombele debate should be resolved soon with the player expressing his desire to move on, possibly to PSG instead of Barcelona as I feel he has issues in terms of adjusting to any other environment outside of France.
Harry Kane is one player I would cash in on if the fee is indeed near the two hundred million pounds being mentioned.
I’m inclined to also giving Jose the chance to “make new mistakes” he was joking about when he was appointed.
Money is not going to be readily available for clubs post COVID-19 so maybe it’s time to cash in on our assets and start a rebuilding process that appeals to Mourinho. He has been successful wherever he went and I am of the opinion that he needs to be given a fair crack at getting the success we all crave as Spurs fans. Let Mourinho do it his way and give him the tools he needs to rebuild us into a Premier League top four club.

It has been too short a time for anyone to assess Ndombele, and he, no doubt, has skill galore. But the one thing for me that defines a player is his attitude and I think, Tanguy, for all his skill on the field, is just happy to accept his huge salary and not put his shoulder to the wheel.
As much as I would love to see him excell at Spurs, I think the offers coming in right now from Barcelona for player swap deals, is going to prove to be too hard to resist for us. Sadly, Tanguy Ndombele will be gone soon.
