Or London City
If the CPO don’t agree to the move than Chelsea’s name will change to London Rovers but with the same history. That’s if they move away from the Bridge.
Boehly and the rest of the owners have good intentions and big plans for the club, why do you think they spending so much money on top of the 4.5 billion they purchased the club for, problem is his been badly advised re Aubameyang, Sterling, Kaliboudy and Cucurella. I’m not sure who encouraged him to get these players, I was never a fan of Sterling or Aubameyang, Cucurella I knew nothing about till City first expressed an intrest and Kaliboudy was a great defender but his already going on 32. If someone maybe knows who gave him the advice including bringing in Potter?
What a terrible terrible weekend for football connoisseurs, one of the worst ever, Chelsea, City, Everton all lose and to matters worse those boring but evil clubs Liverpool, Arsenal and United win. Luckily I have a lot of inner strength. Now we have to wait a long time for revenge and watch one of the most boring world cups ever. I feel for Potter, job came too early for him and Lampard.
LD why is it a risk, isn’t it a risk to play the same old players who don’t perform game after game like Sterling and Aubameyang to name just 2, if a young player is giving better performances than why shouldn’t he be selected ahead of more senior players?
This is the route we need to follow, play those in form not your celebrated senior players and also these so termed brilliant young players, that should be the way forward, we saw young players can do as well and even better than older experienced players, now that we out the EFL cup that’s probably the last we will see of Hall. Boehly must not under any circumstances accept token appearances for our young players that he has brought in and the others that were already there like Hall and Sonop.November 2, 2022 at 8:09 pm in reply to: Chelsea v Dinamo Zagreb – 8pm Wednesday 2 November #2149431
Very weak team but ok see how it goes, can’t understand why they don’t wear their blue socks, even this team would win with blue socks.October 30, 2022 at 3:26 pm in reply to: Brighton & Hove Albion away 3pm Saturday 29 October #2148327

The opposition have picked them out every one
Oh, when will we ever learn?

I really admired Roman. John Obi Mikel:
“We always had a meeting with Roman. Once the team was not doing well, he came in and had a chat with us. Then he sits down, he has this guy, his friend, who sits with him – he’s the interpreter. And then he starts shouting and screaming in Russian!”
“And then the guy interprets what he said in English, and he starts screaming and then goes, ‘You know what, you guys go back now and play football and start winning’.”
If we’re not winning, the next time Roman comes in, he flies in with his helicopter and comes to the training ground and that’s it, we know the manager’s gone. Once he flies in with his helicopter, the manager is gone.”October 29, 2022 at 4:02 pm in reply to: Brighton & Hove Albion away 3pm Saturday 29 October #2148015
First of all when I saw the team it did not feel right, but to concede 3 own goals. One can say the first goal losing it so easily right in front of the box was also an own goal, it’s a sign of mental weakness, an inability to coordinate the mind and body or to quickly change your thoughts. Anyway take this one on the chin and move on, only problem they tougher fixtures, by the way
I counted Sterling’s attempted dribbles, he lost 8 out of 9. Play a flat 4 and we would not he losing this game. Even stupid old Moos knows that. My weeks wrecked.
Aindro you probably may be right about Cucurella, I always thought it was strange the way City went for him and then as soon as we showed interest pulled out without even a semblance of a fight for Cucurella. It’s a lot of money to he conned out off. City knew this would put a dent in our coffers thereby allowing them to chase the real valued players. At the same time Boehly has done well with the youngsters his brought in but I cannot see them getting much game time cause we have too many senior players.
Going according to my expertise and most other avid followers of our club: Aubameyang or Lukaku = about the same. Sterling or Werner = about the same. Cucurella or Alonso = Alonso, of course that’s not counting the expenses involved.
I’m not sure why Potter started with that team he had his reasons maybe but you could feel it was not going to work but at least he changed it quickly so credit for that, other managers wouldn’t charge it at that stage. It’s disappointing cause they got a lucky goal in the last minute and after those early changes we were the better team. Individually one can’t help feeling that Cucurella and Sterling are a total waste of money while Aubameyang was much cheaper and we needed a striker so we can understand that buy despite his spastic game yesterday. Potter needs to use players like Broja, Gallagher, Pulisic and even that youngster that came on much more. They need to start more games. He must not favour players based on seniority cause that could become his downfall but for now his done quite well except for some selections here and there.
Very disappointing especially with Liverpool and United winning, what I cannot understand is the erratic displays by these guys. One good game, one bad game, one average game, I always played a consistent game although it was at amateur level, these guys are professionals with all the facilities and benefits that come with it. There should be at least 4 out of 6 good games for each player. The manager can only do so much, his not responsible for all the wrong options on the field. There was some good football played but the end product is still atrocious.
Brentford are doing surprisingly well for their standards, I don’t expect it to last but we’ve also had more than our fair share of luck. Not complaining but we can’t rely on luck we need to be more dominant. Gallagher needs to adapt and play a deeper game as we don’t have too much control there. I don’t know much about Zakaria but it looks like his not wanted for some reason. I tried to get some answers from the clubs hotline but it’s just ringing non stop.
I predicted a 2-1 win for Chelsea but I was shocked by the performance. A team of our pedigree and standing should not be battling like that against a relegation fodder team. We should have started off with 4-3-2-1 or a 4-2-3-1. I don’t believe we should be accommodating Sterling and Aubameyang at the same time on the field.
I think Rice is far more important as we don’t have that many central midfielders of the required standards I say, Kante is always injured and he and Jorginho will possibly leave end of season. Players like Gallagher and Loftus and Bellingham are more attacking players not really defensive. Bellingham is also playing in a weaker league, he want be so successful here. Look how Werner is suddenly flourishing again now that his back in the bundesliga. MM knows what he preaches.
We all wanted a new manager so let’s get behind Potter and the team, on top of that his a local English boy. Let’s stop this petty bickering amongst ourselves. Up dem mighty Blues.
The reason managers play Jorginho is because he is a possession master with his simplistically applied methods of aimless passing. What good is possession if nothing comes from it, at least a killer pass now and again is too much to ask? What’s his personality got to do with the way he plays, this is an on field contest not a film actors producing a movie. I would select Loftus, Kante and Kovacic all before him, even a make shift central midfielder like Mount or Gallagher. If I was fit as I used to be even I could do a more useful job.
Blaze if City never relaxed in the 2nd half it would have been 10-1 a fair reflection of the game, City are not only a far better team but far more motivated by the master Pep. As far as we concerned I can’t see a top 4 finish, too many loose ends for Potter to fix so quickly. But Im OK with top 6 and Europa qualification, not easy either as we now have Newcastle and their deserved riches biting at the ankles. Brighton don’t have enough quality to maintain a top 6 finish.
