If Garde had anything about him he would walk after yet another horrendous performance (if you can call it a performance) yesterday. No guts, no fight, no effort, no passion for the game from the players of the manager. Whilst this is not his fault as he took over a poor team and was not backed he is also incapable of changing anything and looks like a man who has given up. No hard feeling Remi but go now, walk away, and let the planning start for season from someone with some guts, fight and passion for the job.

Having watched that showing yesterday I will not be going back this season. If the staff and players cant be bothered then frankly nor can I. Where is the pride, respect and personal passion for their sport and club.

If I were Hollis I would bin Fox et al, replace them with Villa men. We could do a lot worse than bringing Gregory, Taylor and Collymore into the fold who know and care for the club. Part company with Remi – this is not his fault but neither does he want to be there and certainly is not instilling any basic principles into this team such as effort, team work and togetherness.

Put the entire squad, with no exceptions up for sale, until they are either sold, or buck up their ideas and bring in Pearson to begin to plan for next year, knock some heads together and shake things up. We also need to blood the kids from the U21’s (maybe 4-5) and get them fighting for the shirt (which surely is the minimum requirements of any player – sorely lacking currently).

Doing the same thing week in and week out and expecting something to change is not the answer. This is drastic change and I find myself asking why not!? How could it possibly be worse than where we are now!? UTV

Whether we turn or not is immaterial. We are going down. Garde is a dead man walking – he will not be there once the season finishes as neither him nor the club will want to continue following the performance and lack of interest and investment in January respectively. There is no point in changing now, there will be no miracle or change in personnel on the playing staff. What’s more is that nobody will want to take on a doomed club and have a certain relegation on their CV.

Garde will be gone following the last game, probably almost immediately.

There is talk today of Bruce or Rowett. The board need to understand that with the blues connections this wont work despite their credentials – we know this from recent history.

For my money we need to bin this touchy feely, ‘put your arm round the player’ mamby pamby approach and get someone in who will kick these lazy, lacklustre players into action. We should have got big Sam, but now/today I would take Pearson all day long. This club needs a strong personality who says it like it is and doesn’t take nonsense. Its a shame its not 25 years ago others Ron Atkinson would have been perfect!

You are quire right that they are leading it. Unfortunately I worry about the arse covering from the rest involved. I would have appointed somebody completely detached and unbiased to look at where, what and who need changing. It needs to be warts and all which we’re not going to get from an inside investigation – similar to fifa investigating themselves – that went well didn’t it!?

Just because our academy is as bad as everyone else doesn’t make it ok does it?? The FA have a new English football DNA program which was released in the last few years, so very recently in football development terms. It will take time for the new program to come through so excluding the odd one of wonder kid we won’t be able to judge against current criteria until maybe 6-7 years down the line.

Irrespective of what others have, or have not produced, the fact of the matter is that it ours (and others) does not provide enough resource to the first team consistently which has to be part of the reason we are in such a state – albeit a small part. Put all the small parts together and you have a big problem that looks very much like Aston Villa.

I’d take Pearson in a heart beat. No reflection on Garde and none of this is really his fault but neither can hi bring passion, fight and fire back to the bellies of the player. The one thing he will bring that we will need next season is passion and fire – he will not suffer fools gladly.

We will be the Championships trophy scalp next season – he will at least not let us roll over.

I think that as a show of distain and to reflect the clubs performance on and off the pitch every fan should take a white flag to the next game.

The club has given up, the players have given up (if they were ever bothered), and the manager is completely disillusioned and fed up just like the fans.

Get the white flags out lads, show them how it feels!

Completely dejected! I find my self asking what’s the point when the club appear not to be bothered yet expect peoples support and money to continue pouring in.

I for one would encourage Garde to walk away, go to the press and shame this shambles of a board. Sack the board – Lerner out and never darken the door to VP again.

This has got to the worst and most worrying time in the clubs history including the previous relegations.

Gabby is nothing more than an option and not a great one at that – he’s not interested and hasn’t been for quite a long time

The fact of the matter is this we leak goals and can’t score any. We are neat and tidy with no penetration. There is no bite or fight. Nobody will want to move to us with an owner who couldn’t careless and such a poor squad. we have no leaders on the pitch and no leaders of it – if we were a boat we’d be a massive tanker with no radar navigation or rudder! This talk of Gabby is nonsense – he’s been past it for four years and frankly doesn’t seem interested unless he’s on the telebox. I would ask the question if he wasn’t a local lad done good would we even consider having him anywhere near the squad?

We could sign De Gea, Silva, Alba, Busquets, Bale, Ronaldo, Messi, Alves Ramos and Varane and it would still result in us going down because of what’s left of the season and the dismal points tally we have. Plan for the championship, prepare young hungry players and blood them now, start to line up some hard headed seasoned pros who know the championship and can lead and galvanise the team.

We make not come straight back up but at least we can enjoy the ride with loads of local games potentially being, Blues, Derby, Forest, Burton, Walsall, the Dingles, in a league were we can at least aspire to achieving something rather than saying ‘well 15th would be a good result’!

Blood the kids, plan for next season with seasoned hardened pros and get rid of the dead wood, and fair weather players.

Back on TT since website change!!

I for one agree and have since I saw him against Leicester in the cup last season as he broke onto the scheme properly. He reminds me a little of the Lee Hendries headless chicken act – very busy but often contributed little but good in occasional sparks. I really think Garde pulling him up sharp will do him good and hopefully knuckle down.

That said he’s not alone in not producing what’s expected. Yes a new team needs time but unfortunately time is one thing that is running out!

All hands to the pump gents if we are to get out of this and that applies to all; not just Grealish
