Well your comment has aged poorly LaughingLenny. I live here in Beijing and we’re now down to six remaining cases, all of them from a single family in the Dalian district.

Despite how China acted when this all started, their contact tracing methods have been astounding. We’re not even wearing masks out in many places anymore and schools will fully reopen safely in a few weeks.

There can’t be more than 50 people who post here anymore unfortunately, and only half of them are probably regulars

Tom182 you cheeky git. I was on here way before Smoggy began his rampage on the main page. I was more so the Boro voice of reason to his insanity.
I did enjoy the banter against him mind. Unfortunately he never frequented the Boro page too much, unlike my actual Dad, who stayed almost exclusively on that page as Darren69.
Funny enough I kind of missed Nil. He always seemed to be on top of the debate whenever my comment was the featured one on the old site.

I do still stalk these pages, but the simple lack of traffic kind of keeps me from contributing as much as I did from 2007-16.
Suppose age as well, no longer that spotty teenager from back then, and starting to feel the arthiritis of 27 years kicking in here in smoggy Beijing.

Ironic actually as a Boro fan I live in the smoggiest place on the planet.

As one with a large nose, I can confirm that not only do we receive more oxygen, but our noses allow us to be more aerodynamic

Assombalonga and Braithwate for around 22 million. Big intention from Boro which I am pleased about. Just need a winger and a keeper and we should be sorted, especially if Gibson, Ramirez, and Traore stay

Beijing is only about 60 miles away from Tianjin, so at least I’ll get to see Aubemeyang play.
I have noticed that Beijing Guan (one of the bigger teams here in China) have so far been reluctant to sign the big name foreign stars.

    Bite me Johnny

I’m chuffed Monk is our new boss. Seems to have his head on straight and will hopefully convince the likes of Gibson to stay another year, alongside giving world cup finalists Chapman and Fry an opportunity.

Step number one is a new goalkeeper, unless he really goes down the youth route and gives Ripley a go. However I can see Gibson giving him a bit of a warchest to make a bid for promotion, especially if Traore, Gibson, Clayton stay.

    Ramirez can piss off

    Boro fan in peace here.

Judging by Kickas23’s post. I assume it’s a school holiday back in England.

A trophy is a trophy, It is an automatic entrance into the CL which Liverpool still have to qualify for. If the roles were reversedI’m sure Pool fans would be celebrating too.
People diss the Europa league. Sure it’s not as prestigious as the CL, but it does wind up with some big names in it, and is still an effort to win with all the traveling. When we got to the final a decade ago, I was on my feet in absolute excitement against what was a great Sevilla side (They’re surely on the verge of a breakthrough like Spurs)

So I say congratulations United. I don’t like you (nobody does) But it was a good win and will boost England’s chances in the CL

Fairly certain I made a post regarding this a few days ago.

To reiterate my point from before. Over 70 goals in around 90 games speaks for itself. He does need to show it next year in the CL and hopefully for England. I truly think though he is world class at this point, and could be considered in the top ten strikers in the world.

Oh I am so gutted to hear this. Despite his injuries, it was always so heartening to hear him and Southgate announced on Boro’s teamsheet, with Boateng in front of them. Once again, a shame injuries derailed what could have been a phenomenal career. 44 is too young, and I hope everyone stands for him this weekend.

Sailor. Usually Gibbo is very lenient with managers, but remember this time last year Karanka walked out on the club completely, which probably soured him in Gibbos mind.
The complete mistreatment of Jordan Rhodes bothered a lot of Boro fans, and his lack of push for goals when we so needed them was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

I enjoyed Karanka, I really did. But with just ten games left, and only scoring three in the previous ten, we needed something. I don’t think he would have kept us up.

Chelsea can get stuffed regarding Ben Gibson. He’s ours, and Steve Gibson’s nephew. If anyone was flowing with hometown, blood it’s him.
    Go get Michael Keane instead.
