Diving for me isn’t a forefront issue as such. But manhandling for example somebody in the box and not being picked up by any officials is.

That’s where we need the eagle-eye. This naturally occurs from set-pieces and how are defenders getting away with it?

The offside too is a bit of a grey area that needs to be in line.

    I don’t think it’s a matter of whether there’s boredom, it’s a matter of enough being enough.

I do notice in recent times, some change in relation for example of penalty decisions. Diving is more and more clamped down on and penalty calls are more stringent i.e. they are not handed out liberally.

I’m not placing any focus on any club, but speaking in general from experience.

I can’t really comprehend with the argument that there would be nothing to talk about. I’d much rather there are protocols in place to make a Referee’s job easier and there’s precision when it comes to critical decisions such as offsides, penalties, and whether or not, a ball crossing the line (we have goal-line tech).

The referees need to be more consistent, but ultimately, that comes from their own judgement and how they interpret the rules.

Thankyou James for your intervention, just read your message. I apologize for my involvement in this and I should have just the decent thing and not to get caught up in any of this. Will not post anything further on this thread.

Yet there are 100s of other threads on this message board. Btw, I wouldn’t allow for a meet. Not on the evidence of this thread.

Mark, interestingly, there is a thread on the Liverpool page on a supporter asking how he can deal with a Liverpool defeat. I tried help this person as best as I could knowing that I myself don’t handle defeat well.

I believe for me in particular, these forums play a part and deliver an adverse effect. This is why I made a pledge that this will indeed be my last season on here as I feel as though at times when I have freetime, I’m spending far too much time here and familiarity increases which from my point of view is not the desired effect.

I’m not going to hide the fact that I don’t particularly like what I read sometimes. I don’t mind an opinion, but when it’s repeated and incessant, that’s what triggers my emotions. It’s football and a lot of the time, I’m a bad loser and don’t handle too well when results haven’t gone my way, so for my own sanity and this message board, it’s probably best if I taper off, though as mentioned, this will promise to be me last season on a message board.

    Cheers

MarkHast8, I don’t really use forums or social media to be honest. I wasn’t on here for several years, but was an original user when the site was introduced back in 1997.

I have great working relationships in my work place as well as academic qualifications, life experience and a sound family background, not to mention, received well in the community. If you meet me in person, I’m as soft and kind-hearted as they come.

Think about it: It’s Liverpool FC I deeply care about – my passion, outspokeness and oversensitivity a lot of the time gets the better of me, but evidence of some discussions off threads proves I’m good to be around with. That’s why I don’t take a lot of the abuse thrown to heart because I’m never going to meet these people and they’re scattered all over the globe. Keep your own mind and stand up for what you truly believe in with a clear conscience that’s my moto – I never illustrated too that I was perfect – only another human and a supporter of football and Liverpool.

    Cheers

Nine, please don’t tell me what to do. I stand by from what I perceive in reference to what I read from yourself. The problem is that you try and talk down to me all the time and then bring the ‘support card’ – not having it mate when it comes to footballing matters, which is where this all stemmed from, so please don’t go on a tangent.

This backroom I don’t think has helped. I don’t abide by at all the so-called support and this just proves it. If it struck that much of a chord from one comment being made elsewhere, that just proves that person himself has a bit of an hidden agenda in what he is ‘trying to sell’ or convey to the rest regarding financial fair play.

I will ignore from now on what is written, but it’s difficult if it’s constantly sort of hi-jacked no every individual club page. The packed mentality is what breeds rather than a mediation with some sense of humility and kindness.

This is what the internet and social media can attract. I’ve never openly had to hurl abuse at anybody for the sake of it, and especially the ‘packed mentality’. Surely that shouldn’t be excusable at all.

Nine, best we stay out each others way from now on. Please please however, if I have some form of a disagreement with a Chelsea fan or anyone else for that matter, don’t assume it was some form of something aimed entirely at you. I took wisefan’s comment too fully on board. When I see double-standards, I will counteract it, though based on this experience, I’ll now deem it with a pinch of salt – can’t be done with the aggravation on here as nothing is achieved/solved.

Can you read and interpret details?

It’s not a dig it’s a statement defying so-called political correctness perfectly placed in the right thread. It’s interesting though that so many observations were unearthered and that’s a clear indication of being followed and how much time is spent on a forum.

There are lots of other posters and threads too, so why be bothered by one? Mind you that question could be posed right back at me.

I’ve not stated I was bullied by Nine, I stated, I wasn’t prepared to put up with Mr Mak nor for any other poster coming in to attack me personally.

Note the distictive bit in bold. None of this is personal, but I have been attacked personally. You’ve been a shining example of it Steveo so far this morning which is quite shocking as I used to get on well in terms of exchanges on here. Clearly nothing can be taken for granted and some people on here are easily led astray and as a result are fickle.

Could be a case where we might be cautious with our approach due to Monday and focus more in not losing the game than winning. I could possibly see this with the gunners too because of the danger of the knock-on effect against the PL table.

I was just going to ignore it and so what if I vented a little bit of frustration elsewhere. Why does Nine constantly assume it’s all about him? Don’t you think though Steveo it’s a bit rich for Chelsea supporters to be flagging the FFP when it’s alright for them to havea russian owner and spend in bringing in their choice of players:

    David Luiz, Pedro, Alonso, kante.

Childish or not, not really a fair game for the rest of us. I have to put up with reading all the so-called niceties just so it buddies up with other posters, and then once the confidence is gained, in comes the caution and it’s on every other Liverpool thread. I find that incessant and no other non-Liverpool supporter sprays their activity that way.

I read the comment and I chose to ignore it and then Mr Mak came wading in with his size 10s and I thought to myself, I’m sick to the back teeth throughout of this bullying and I’m going to stand up to him. That goes for anybody else too. I don’t have NONE of this what so ever in my everyday life so why should I have to consistently put up with this on the Internet?

And if there is a repetition of this, it will be me disconnecting myself from here and will seek elsewhere to read thoughts about my club.

Btw, I don’t come on here for all this aggravation or constantly having to read that Liverpool will never rise to the top. That’s where the flare ups stem from. I respect people’s right to an opinion, but it’s the same people predicting the same negative stuff and quite frankly, it drives me bananas!

MarkHast8, there’s just some history between nine and myself in which some posters are new and perhaps don’t know much about.

It’s ultra sad to have read Steveo’s post and very surprising, but this is what takes place even when you design a backroom. Nothing’s exclusive or no longer private and this might have been settled better if email addresses for example were exchanged. There really is no need to hurl abuse.

I will be reporting the swearwords by the way. None warranted. People cant take being told they’re negative and they want to be proved right that they are. Fancy offering somebody advice when they’re down on another thread to accept we’re a midtable club. And I’m the supposed ‘knobhead’. Aussie’s true colour exposed and for somebody exclamating that they’re leaving this site.

Just actually re-read Aussie calling me a “knobhead” twice in 2 different threads. What website sincerely allows this? As for this thread, it’s a joke, there’s clearly no moderation.

Nobody has ever sworn at me in the outside world more compared to here. It’s all about Liverpool Football Club and whenever the team loses, this constantly happens.

A conversation or any form of resolution would struggle to continue my friend if a reference to ‘drunkeness’ out of convenience is made. Do you think I’d be able to hold a job, support my family and gain great appraisals at work not to mention recognition for hardwork and productivity?

Just want ultimatelty a positive Liverpool FC Message board; Sure: let’s let our hair down (a bit) when we win, and cry our hearts out when we lose (Leicester), but ultimately, let’s find constructive solutions and try and eliminate barriers.

I want viewpoints of different supporters of as many as possible, not just one.

And in relation to own our own, AK and TimeToGoBR were a defining revelation, and a breath of fresh air of honesty.
