hahaha – that made me laugh Tom. Yes Nil will be a part of the fabric of this site, even when he isn’t here.

What has happened to footyplace – just tried to go to it and getting an error message that it cannot be found

Let’s see if Man city are in celebratory mood after agreeing a contract to pay sterling about 300x what he’s worth.

If Daniel Levy paid the bills he’d have his stadium by now.

He must have realised by now that his tactics for haggling in the football world doesn’t work with building contractors who have real bills to pay rather than over inflated salaries to tosspot footballers and agents

Good solid win for the best team in the tournament

Enjoying watching Spurs failures though – just about had enough of them and their stadium dramas

Very poor refereeing yesterday – especially at the city game. A certain red card for Kompany and a very dodgy second goal for city certainly made it even harder for Burnley to try and get something from the game.

Can you imagine the fuss if roles were reversed and the decisions had been against City?

Well done to Sarri, for how he dealt with the incident with Mourinho and his assistant – no nonsense, minimised the drama, and straight talking – god forbid I start to like something about Chelsea!

Been poor for a long time but grinding out results of sorts – drew or lost a few games we could have won but the flair of last season hasn’t arrived yet. The key to how Liverpool play is actually Firmino and he has looked a shadow of last season so far – or opponents have worked out that he is the one to focus on. He looks jaded and so does Salah, who doesn’t seem too happy either.

If it clicks then we will spank a few people but I reckon it will be just before Xmas before we see Liverpool hit form

Best footballer to have played in that pub league in decades – regardless of what happened off the pitch. Probably disgruntled Celtic fans behind it. Disgrace.

I’m looking forward to seeing the upcoming double header between our clubs. It’s likely we will both learn more about our sides after these, particularly the game on Saturday when both sides will be at full strength.

I’ve been impressed with Sarri so far, he seems a real football man rather than a showman or someone searching for the limelight – and this weekend will tell us more about him and whether Klopp is on the right track or just been a bit lucky so far.

I bet Paul Pogba would love to even have one good entire season and be a one season wonder, same for Sanchez. Both are one-month wonders, and Tom is a miserable git.

Solid performance from Liverpool, spurs had no chance to play. If it hadn’t been such sloppy finishing it could have ended up with a four or five goal margin.

Milner was immense. He seems to thrive on playing for a big club.

anyone else see Sergio Ramos try to accidentally ‘clip’ Jordan Pickford as he ran to celebrate the second Spanish goal?

I’m sure there was no intent!!

Ant, except Mace didn’t sign up on that basis. They only took it as construction managers and the club was chasing savings in all directions and stuffing up the procurement. Mace are pretty safe from the club. The few companies on spurs that also built the Emirates and the Olympic stadium were very wary about how the club approached this. The club have got their Just desserts now. I expect they will try to wriggle out of paying the bill now, and it may further delay things.
