After our disastrous second performance against Bayern last night. the team need to have a look at themselves, they owe us a performance against A.F.C. Bournemouth. we need to attack them right from the first whistle and try to establish an early lead. an early goal will settle the nerves there.
I expect Frank to make changes, Willian to come on, and Abraham to replace Giroud. and possibly see Christensen make way, I would retain Alonso though. and interestingly I would stick to the 3-4-2-1 formation. and instruct Alonso and James to stretch the backline of A.F.C. Bournemouth.February 26, 2020 at 5:33 pm #1830055
Bournmouth are a million miles away from that Bayern side. I’m hearing Abraham may have aggravated an injury so I’m not he will be available. To be honest I’d persevere with Giroud, he didnt let us down last night. We will dominate the ball against Bournmouth and he will have more possession and opportunities to bring our quicker players into play. Massive, massive 3 pointer. In fact all our remaining PL games are…..February 27, 2020 at 9:33 am #1830185
Even though Bournemouth isn’t the same level as Bayern, i’m still worried about how we will approach this game, because it’s when the opponents sat deep that we tend to struggle, and i can guarantee that Bournemouth will pull every rabbit out of the hat to frustrate us and dig deep. and they know our defence is very generous and will give them their moments. so this game worries me more than the Bayern one. because the Bayern game we had our work cut. but this game the onus is on us to break them down.February 27, 2020 at 1:32 pm #1830251
The big problem re this game is how well we’ve recovered psychologically from the Bayern mauling.
Also there are limitations to how Frank can change things both tactically and personell wise due to injuries and Bournemouth need the points as much as we do.
Having said that if we play to our abilities we should still be able to take the points but it’s definitely no gimme.February 27, 2020 at 7:36 pm #1830345
For this match against Bournemouth, I am hoping FL will field the exact same team that played against Spurs. I also reckon Bournemouth would defend deep, like Spurs. So we don’t need speedy players here but we do need tecnical players like Mount and Barkley. And we do need attacking wing back in Alonso and Reece James. But unlike Spurs who do not have a potent goalscorer (Kane, Son injured and Alli on the bench), Bournemouth have plenty of players who can hurt us in counter. Josh King is quick, Callum Wilson too, Harry Wilson, their 2 wing backs. So I reckon this match will be much more challenging and difficult than last week against SpursFebruary 28, 2020 at 5:41 pm #1830668
Bournemouth love beating us. I see us drawing or losingFebruary 28, 2020 at 5:53 pm #1830671
Bort, Bournemouth have beaten us a couple of times recently but Chelsea have won 7 of the last 10 games.February 28, 2020 at 8:43 pm #1830696
Those 3 loses we conceded 8 goals
You never know what Chelsea side will show up to games these days. Im not confident going into any game.February 28, 2020 at 9:02 pm #1830697
Totally agree with Bort, we don’t know which Chelsea side will turn up for the match. one problem i have observed is that if Chelsea come out from the first 20 minutes of every half without conceding, we tend to have a good chance. but that has been our problem. and concentration has been our Achilles heel recently. so i’m worried a lot about this match more than i was against Bayern. i hope Giroud plays and we put more crosses into the box. what is the point of selecting him if we are not putting crosses into the box?February 29, 2020 at 2:15 am #1830734
Win, lose or draw one thing is guaranteed. The creative but extremely wasteful Chelsea will turn up. See it week in week out. Surely all the training they do they should start converting more chances than they do.February 29, 2020 at 7:40 am #1830736
Bort, “You never know what Chelsea side will show up to games these days. Im not confident going into any game.”
Completely agree with that and the injuries aren’t helping us either.February 29, 2020 at 9:15 am #1830744
A bartender close friend of mine is from Bournemouth and he insists they will not be relegated. Howe who he thinks would have been a brilliant manager for Chelsea knows what his doing despite their limited resources. Hopefully their survival cause want be from today.February 29, 2020 at 12:45 pm #1830795
If you look at Bournemouth’s remaining fixtures this is a game they will be looking to get 3 points from.
We will have to be even better today than we were against Spurs to get something from this game, and equally important get through the match injury free!
My real concern is if we continue to pick up these non contact injuries that are being ineffectively managed the squad could become extremely stretched in the coming weeks.February 29, 2020 at 2:39 pm #1830823
Not really happy with today’s starting lineup but I suppose there’s not that much difference to choose from in the whole current available squad, let’s see what happens.February 29, 2020 at 4:01 pm #1830851
Do we want to sell Alonso? well we should think twice if that is our position currently. the man is very important to the team than some of our established wingers.February 29, 2020 at 4:56 pm #1830870
Alonso is a great Wing Back Chelseaman. Story of our season again today totally dominant bags of missed chances. Hopefully Everton do us a favour tomorrow.February 29, 2020 at 4:56 pm #1830871
Week in week out this side are useless from minute 46 to 60 and so it has been proven yet again. 4am here and I’ve had a gutful, not of beer, of them. Goodnight.February 29, 2020 at 5:02 pm #1830874
Alonso showing his worth yet again!!
Said it before and will continue to Frank needs an experienced member of staff on the coaching side!! You simply cannot fuck around with the defence to the extent he is and expect them to gel!! Find the best combination and stick with it.
If you are going to play 3 at the back with two wing backs, then there is no way that Alonso can be considered Asda transfer out, then when Kante is fit make sure you play him in the holding role.
The harsh reality is, if this was any other manager or coach in the world there would be many on here calling for his head!February 29, 2020 at 5:36 pm #1830893
If we could defend corners and crosses we would have 4th place all but wrapped up.February 29, 2020 at 5:41 pm #1830894
Chelsea are so predictable to foresee
