You’re moving to a state of the art, world class stadium ? Really ? When did the move to the Olympic Stadium get called off ?November 25, 2015 at 4:39 pm #716852
Aitch (Spurs). Thanks for the post. I can appreciate your humorous sour grapes but as I mentioned to Gusformanager the other day, our new pristine state-of-the-art stadium that is standing proudly just down the road from us is a beautiful world class venue that offers the best facilities and travel links in the country. I have no idea what type of shed that shady little shyster of an owner has in store for you, but whatever it turns out to be, it will still be a nightmare to travel to and from. But never mind, you are always welcome to visit us for a nice day out. Incidentally, I must say your personal emblem is very impressive. I was not aware that you could download one so large. It is without doubt the biggest cock I have seen on here so far. Good luck in your latest quest for a top four spot and subsequent world domination. Cheers.November 28, 2015 at 11:21 am #718376
Erik. I am in admiration at your response – well done. Now, Big Mal, where are you and where is Harryhammer, Katmad and all the rest? Please don’t leave everything to Dislecksickerik. We have a chance to get the old forum going again. Come on all of you.November 29, 2015 at 5:23 pm #719250
hello all Northbank(formally northbank67)is back looking forward to your comments and banter, coyi.November 30, 2015 at 12:38 pm #719653
Sadly it’s not looking as though the old posters are going to return soon. I will stick with it for a bit longer and maybe Teamtalk might give us back the old style format. Yesterday was a bit unfortunate as we we should have had the game wrapped up by half time and then to lose Sakho to what looks like a long term muscle injury leaves Slav now with little option but to change our plAying style. Obiang looked a bit rusty after his injury but brings good energy into the side. I was hoping Song would be fit to start but there is no point taking risks with him. When he does return we will be a better team. I would like to see Oxford start another game soon. Maybe even at Man U. He won’t be fazed when called upon and Utd are bound to expose our lack of pace in the centre of defence. I like Ogbonna. Nothing fancy about the way he plays. He is a good solid centre back but again not that quick. Despite the injuries we still have plenty of options but Slav is now going to have to find a way to use Carroll more effectively. The deflected Baggies goal was typical of our luck this season and as much as we need to stop conceding goals we could do with a bit help from Lady Luck too. You feel as though you are talking to yourself on here at present. HarryHammer, katmad, OneMac, ironic etc. Let’s support Erik’s initiative and get this forum working again. Teamtalk. You can help by listing the most recent post first on the thread.November 30, 2015 at 2:15 pm #719717
That was tough, we should have been out of sight by half time. Another injury to Sakho and it looks a bad one, what is it about these strikers that they seem so prone to injury. It seems like Sakho and Valencia hardly play and AC is an accident just waiting to happen. Lets hope lady luck changes our fortunes quickly as the games are coming thick and fast now. Typical Spurs fans on our site….they go on a bit of a run and all of a sudden they are world beaters again! It wasn’t that long ago that they were calling for MP and Levys head!
Big Mal is right teamtalk, put the latest post first on the thread, it can’t be that difficultNovember 30, 2015 at 2:25 pm #719726
Hi Big Mal. You are right. Trying to get this page up and running again is like pulling teeth at the moment. However, using this general thread idea of Eriks’ it’s almost exactly the same. I agree about our luck but if that ball hadn’t deflected in off of Reids’ arm then the Albion would have been shouting for a penalty. I’ve watched the replay over again and I feel that Fletcher used his arm to help control the ball before pushing it to Lambert. Anyway, all too late now. Northbank, thanks for posting and both of you keep it going and we will be back to normal eventually. Keep the faith and COYI.November 30, 2015 at 8:57 pm #719952
What is going on with our players what’s going on in training? Is the pitch to hard why are we getting these injuries to our best players somebody has it in for us big time, 3 key players out with I think sakho being the biggest loss as we proved in the 1st half against the baggies that lanzini & Zarate can step up and we don’t fully miss payet, but sakho we don’t have anybody to replace him Carroll is not 1st choice and we will struggle now to get goals from our forward line Man U will now be a slug match.December 1, 2015 at 7:57 pm #720372
Tough game coming up and I can’t see us scoring. We can’t rely on wonder free kicks all the time and Man U are pretty tight at the back. A draw would be a good result and I think that the only way we will get it, is by not conceding. Fingers crossed.December 2, 2015 at 7:04 am #720486
I’m looking forward to our game with Man U. It’s a pity Sakho got injured though. Losing him may have dented out chances of getting something out of the game. Still, fingers crossed. Big Mal, where’s Harryhammer? If you see him again, please give him another nudge to send a post. All it takes is one or two of the old lags to turn up on here and the rest will follow. I certainly hope so. I agree that this page would be much more user friendly if the most recent post was placed at the top of the list instead of the bottom. It would certainly be a significant improvement and make it more like the old site which would help to attract the old posters back. Please do it Teamtalk.December 3, 2015 at 9:23 pm #721529
HarryHammer can’t seem to get through registration. He has had three goes. I talked him through his last attempt but no luck. I am meeting him outside Lou Macari’s on Saturday before the game and will try and and register him on my phone. it’s going to being interesting to see how Slav approaches the game.December 4, 2015 at 8:45 am #721593
Appreciate your efforts with Harry, Big Mal. I re-registered quite easily and I’m no computer expert. Hope Harry can get back on and I look forward to his opinions after the Man U game.December 4, 2015 at 3:41 pm #722375
Thanks for sorting it Mal. I don’t know what I was doing wrong. Mind you I had a few sherbets. The strife had rustled up a chilli and you need plenty of liquid to survive it. That’s my excuse anyway. I see Katters has yet to make an appearance. He’s been late delivering my milk too. It’s hard work getting a bowl of cornflakes down you on a morning without any milk. Congrats to you boys for trying to get this going again. I think those Teamtalk geeks are off their trolleys for destroying our Yoursay. Let’s hopes this general thread works. As for tomorrow I think we have to be positive. Bit of talk today that the Jellyman might get the nod ahead of Brown Ale. That would surprise me but I am not over worried about the injuries. Bilko has some good options in midfield and I want to see what Antonio has got to offer. Thanks again Big Mal for helping me get registered. See you tomorrow.December 5, 2015 at 8:56 am #722837
Harry! Great to see you back. Well done BigMal. Next up is Katmad. Where is Onemac? Harry, personally I think I would prefer to se Jelavic getting a start over Carroll and I agree that Antonio still has to be given a proper chance at showing what he can do. Have a good day at the Man U game and I look forward to your comments afterwardsDecember 5, 2015 at 6:52 pm #723905
Welcome back Harry! We should have had 3 points today, no doubt.December 5, 2015 at 8:36 pm #724196
Welcome back Harry! I trust you enjoyed the game today at Old Trafford. We deserved at least draw and Winston played a blinder. It’s a pity we fluffed those chances in the first half, we could have won it.
I have a good feeling that now you are back on here it won’t be too long before Katmad, One Mac, Hattrick, Disco and the rest will turn up any minute. Let’s all hope so.December 6, 2015 at 4:07 pm #725429
Happy to back with my Teamtalk Hammer friends. Had a great day in Manchester and fancied us to get something out of the game. I was actually disappointed not to get a win because I am convinced had Zarate taken his chance I doubt Man U had much left in their locker to get an equaliser. There were lots of plus points for me. Defensively we looked solid and despite being rusty Song did well before he tired. Brown Ale put in a shift and did enough to end any claims for The Jellyman to get the nod. What was also encouraging for me was the performance of Antonio. Moses was actually getting back to his best in this game before his injury but Antonio whilst not getting everything right added some attacking threat and looked potentially a decent partner for Carroll. I am told Antonio can head a ball too. I hope he did enough to convince Bilko to give him a start. Noble had a better game despite making the odd poor decision and Cresswell had a good game too. I was listening to match stats on the radio on the way home and despite Man U’s goal attempts stat I can only remember Adrian being tested a couple of times. We could easily have had three goals in the first half and once we had Fellani under lock and key never looked really troubled. I am not worried about our injury list because we have quality replacements who all look capable of coming in and doing a job. Trying different systems is good too. You play every team twice in this league and as we know only too well once teams at this level know your game they can plan and stop your effectiveness.December 6, 2015 at 8:14 pm #726002

Dislecksickerik, a West Ham fan eh who’d have thought it. Lol!December 7, 2015 at 8:10 pm #727661
Good post Harry. I was very impressed with the noise all of you made at Old Trafford. I was lucky enough to watch the game live on a giant TV in HD with hi-fi quality surround sound. It was very impressive and almost like being there. You certainly out-sang the home support and the crack about a fire-drill came over loud and clear towards the end during the evacuation.
It’s still very quiet on here so I do hope everyone keeps posting to try to build up some momentum. Even just one line will increase our post count and it is important to give the impression that our page is becoming more active. If we can do that I’m sure that a lot of the boys will come back. So keep posting everybody…December 7, 2015 at 9:12 pm #727736
Harry, I agree with you about the need for us to be able to adapt to different systems. During the course of a season there will be lapses in form and injuries to key players. Fortunately we have better squad depth now and instead of going to Old Trafford fearing the worst most of still felt we still had enough to get a result. Reid was outstanding and unlucky not to score. Zarate had some decent moments and should have secured the three points for us. Stoke will be a tough game too but it’s time to start winning home games. Lanzini will be back but against a more physical side I would be inclined to start with Antonio and keep Lanzini for the last 30 minutes when the game is more stretched. Anyway as Erik says keep posting everyone and let’s see who we can tempt back next.
