    @emmicallef. Everyone knows redblood is a slippery customer. The miserable bellend.

    @manthistle. I have to disagree with you on Di Maria. In any organization the buck ends with the hiring manager for a bad recruit. By the time a “job spec” (we needed a top class winger) has been put together it is obvious that the possible options the manager (LvG) speaks to have the required skills to perform the job. The hiring manager then needs to dig deeper to see if the employee (player) is motivated and if they show engagement/commitment to the project. LvG failed to identify this with Di Maria and I can expand to Blind, Shaw, and Depay – all players that were not fit for purpose in the end (Blind is not good enough to improve our first team while Depay and Shaw turned out to be freeloaders with no motivation).

    There is no way you can tell me Di Maria is a good signing without taking into consideration that he was not a good fit for the club, lost the club money, and set a precedent of unprofessionalism in the dressing room – he was a very bad signing. Top performers are usually separated by attitude, not aptitude. The manager should know this and has to take the blame – just the same as so far, Mourinho has to take the blame for burdening us with Lindelof (although the jury is still out).

    I remember having a daily debate with good old femoo on here that summer about the merits or not of signing Di Maria for almost double the fee that Alexis Sanchez was going for.
    He swore blind that Di Maria was far superior and even accused me of not being capable of understanding just how much better Di Maria was!.Well,just like when LvG went for Schneiderlin for double the Wanyama fee I think it’s fair to say that he also got that one completely wrong.The guy never wanted to come to Manchester after being forced out of Madrid against his will and the club should have sensed that and fucked him right off from the start.
    I hope to god we learn the lessons from that debacle and refuse to touch that balding knackerbag Bale next summer when Madrid inevitably come looking to cut their losses on the crock.

    Blacky-I agree completely mate re Bale,include Modric,CR7,and Benzema to that list.I believe Real Madrid will be going on a spending spree to rebuild their team,and I hope to God Almighty we stay away from their past their best has beens!.Add to that the fact Mata went for nearly 3 times CH.Eriksen went for.

    @redblood:

    Mac-There are only 24 hrs in the day pal,us docs have so much new stuff to read,do not have time to read all these essays written by posters like nil and yourself

    This point comes up from time to time when someone encounters something that, in their mind, takes too long to read. Thankfully, the solution to the problem is quite simple:

    If you don’t want to read essays, don’t read essays.

    Also, I can’t resist:

    Lazy cunts are those who have got the time to write essays

    Only this nil poster who posts once in a blue moon writes essays too long to read

    So, which one is it? I spend too much time posting on TT or too little?

    ;-).

    After Tolstoy published War and Peace the public had to wait 8 long years before his next book Anna Karenina.

    I dont write masterpieces, I’m more like a pulp fiction writer, I can bash them out 10 a penny. Its basically the same storyline anyhow.
