    Looking like that’s confirmed.
Now we just need similar for Mané and Kieta.

It’s ridiculous that it’s this close to the games and this is still being sorted out.

Guinea play Gambia today in the knock out stages.

Naby has had a very good tournament, scoring 1 and getting MOTM in 2 games.
He’s out of todays game due to yellow cards received in the group stages so he could be coming back by the end of the week if they don’t progress today.

    That’s Guinea knocked outta AFCON.
Unlucky to Naby but means we should have him back very soon and training.

Mané plays tomorrow and Salah the day after.

By the next Premier League game we will have Naby, Mo and Mane back and highly likely Thiago and Elliott too. Also gives the squad back home a chance to rest up and refresh. Not a bad January after all!

I’m not anti Naby, and I even said that he and Ox would be useful for us and contribute to score or score 10 goals between them this season, but I would not be surprised if he is on the sidelines soon. He always manages to be fit for Guinea, think he never missed a match for them since he’s here. I’m not saying there is something sinister in that but it makes me scratch my head.

Captkirk, bit like Bryan Robson, injured for United but always fit for England!

    Crazy situation with Mané today.
Got knocked out cold by the opposition keeper during a clash of heads. He should have been subbed immediately due to concussion protocols.
Even crazier is that he scored after and then asked to be subbed due to the collision.

    Let’s hope he’s ok

Either Mané or Salah coming back as AFCON winners.

Whoever it’ll be will come back buzzing for the rest of the season.

Not the final I wanted, Mane vs Salah. And they will even face each other on the same wing.

Hope there’s no fallout ot bad blood between them after the game.

Also some homework for whoever is keen – have two Liverpool players ever played against each other in a major international final before?

Well, sort of, but not really in the 2010 World Cup Final: Kuyt got subbed off before Torres got subbed on. I’ll keep thinking though…..

Standard of football in that tournament has been shocking. Dreadful pitches and dreadful refereeing

Mane absolutely buzzing for the rest of the season.

And that’s why Mane is an absolute, MFing Superstar. Delighted for Senegal who had never won it before.

I still want Salah to win AFCON in his career at Liverpool though.
