The next manager we should go in for – Gian Piero gasperini.Done an exceptional job at Atalanta with unbeleivably limited resources.I’ve watched them quite a lot,his tactics and game plan is so brilliant. He’s one of my favourite managers in europe and He’ll be more probable to acquire than most other top managers.

I dont know enough to judge him so i will refrain from that.

But in general just because you succeed on a limited budget it wont automatically mean that they can cope with the extra pressure that comes with beeing a manager at a bigger club.

You of course never know and to be honest anything is an upgrade than what we have now.

But I think Raul has the back of Emery so I doubt anything will happen anytime soon.

one of the names we seem to be stringly linked with is Arteta, what are fans view on him?
for me id be very nervous, yes he has worked under Pep but he hasnt actually managed a team, would be walking into a toxic environment and im just really not sure he would be right, he could of course be amazing but i still worry….the more this shit show goes on, the more i want allegri, id rather watch us grind out 1-0 wins and know hoe to defend…..unlikley to happen but we need a very STRONG coach, with an identifable ethos and the will to input it within the club from top to bottom, we need a winning mentality

The Stupid One advocates we hire the manager of Atalanta and claims to know all about him. Yeah right of course you do. How could he manage Arsenal, you get worse.

Steve0snake0il I’m not convinced that Arteta who has absolutely no experience of management could take on Arsenal in its current state. I’d love to see an ex-Arsenal player manage Arsenal but as with Henry and Vieira I can’t see them being up to it. We need a George Graham type who can take the club by the scruff of the neck and shake it up from top to bottom. I’ve said it all along and I’ll carry on saying it we are stuck in a rut, we are getting worse and there are no signs of improvement around the corner. Everything needs changing at Arsenal, ownership, manager, off field management, players but mostly the losers attitude. Wenger said winning isn’t everything. Too many at Arsenal believe it. Winning IS EVERYTHING time we realised it.

I didn’t want Arteta before as I thought it was too soon after he left as a player but right now I’d take a chance on him. Id rather like Lampard that he had experience of managing a team but I still think he could be a success so if the board went for him I’d be pleased.

Muffler – You can ask any person who watches Serie A and they’ll tell you that he’s doing an outstanding job there.I’ve seen him dominate teams like Juventus, inter, napoli. The guy has a clear game plan and his tactics are brilliant. He’s also very entertaining to watch.Dortmund use to be my favourite team to watch outside of England, now it’s Atalanta.Obviously I know he isn’t going to leave before the end of this season. But if we’re looking for a manager by the end of this season,he’d be my first pick.

Steveo – I suggested Arteta for now.It really depends. If we want someone at this very moment I’d roll the dice on him.Look at the job lamps is doing at Chelsea.I know Arteta has zero managerial expereince, but the advantage about getting in a new manager at this very moment in time is that we can take a risk on him.We can see how it works out,and whether we’re going in the right direction. It’s more complicated than it seems though.First he has to agree because usually he’d want atleast a 2 year contract. Then if he’s performing well, great. If he’s not then let him go at the end of the season and go in for somone like gasperini. This would be a good decision.

me personally, from where we are now, the squad players we have, what we could get in Jan/summer i would go ALL OUT to get Allegri, a proper manager with a real CV a winning mentality and KNOWS HOW TO DEFEND!!! id watch 1-0 all next season to see us learn the lost art and get the mentality back and backbone thats been stripped form my beloved club…

Tony Adams comments for our match (on BT Sport goals programme) was as bad as it gets….whatever does happen, SOMETHIN needs to happen, if the board allow this much longer not only will we go deeper and take longer to fix but we will become a laughing stock as well as the irrelevance that we have already become…

Not sure about Allegri,Has he ever managed a club in a similar situation to us.Juventus had a great squad and a pre installed winning mentality by contre.Allegri just carried the reigns.Sure he won the title at Milan in his first year but I didn’t follow it well so wouldn’t know what kind of a squad he had. He’s surely a good manager with loads of expereince.I wouldn’t mind him is What I’ll say.

Anywyas, what we all could agree on is that the change needs to happen ASAP.I’m more than convinced that the board aren’t making it because of the payout they’ll have to give him should he get sacked.I feel it’s nonsense that they’re not sacking him because one or two still beleive in him.Cowards.Just do it already.

steveo, I read another report this morning that puts the Wolves manager, NES, as the bookies favourite – I’d be OK with him as our next coach.

Agreed, there is no way back for Emery. There is a Twitter post that shows our shot differential over each season from 2003 onwards. Typically we outshot the other teams by 150 to 200 goals a season and that’s under Wenger’s rule when he was often criticised for not shooting enough. Under Emery our differential was -32 last year and so far this season is -56, enough said!

Allegri is still number one for me and as he is actually available should be the easiest to get with the RIGHT BOARD and backing!

would take Nuno tho, least he has decent PL experience and his team always turn up against top 6, wouldnt be too dissapointed!

Nuno,Not sure.Done a great job with wolves but not entirely convinced. If we’re going to go someone with no experience in winning titles or CL,in that mould we might as well go in for arteta.

My preferenance now is either Arteta or Vieira. Whoever it is I thinks needs to be able to connect with the fans with a clear footballing philosophy.

I fear Allegri will be another Emery. Don’t know why, just a gut feel.

Vieria or Arteta make me nervous as if it went pair shaped I think they would tarnish there reputation at the club, Actually its more Vieria that I would worry about as he was a legend and also his current team does not seem to be doing great but I did hear from some pundit on Arseblog that they are actually doing well under the circumstances what ever that means.

im also nervous as ive stated previously of these two at THIS time at least and given what they will be walking in to….

we need real experience, tactical neus and man management with a winning mentality and vision/plan…..hence my number one pick

id be a little dissapointed by anyone other than him coming in at the moment

more i think about it and the more i look at the options the more im leaning towards someone thats been at the club. I would love Patrick to come back and have him as manager and Freddie as Assistant. i’d even be inclined to bring back Bergkamp to teh coaching mix as well. We need a manager who understands Arsenal, the fanbase and who also have that experience of winning. PV4 ticks all those boxes, its just his managerial resume isnt that great.

According to every one else who does not support Arsenal we are shit Fans never happy, We took top four for granted for years and then moaned top four was not enough and we did not do enough to challenge for the title, complained about playing champions league because we would never win it…I remember these terrible days and wish for them all again!
