Stev -Yes.but the compensation figure is usually much less than what they would’ve gotten paid if they remained jobless until their contract expires at the club. Most managers agree a compensation fee when they’re sacked by the club. But it’s actually upto them if they want to.They could be sitting at home and earning free money till the end of their contract should they get sacked. But most managers don’t want that as they want to start working at other places, which means their old deal would terminate as soon as that happens.
Amyways, this is about poch’s case.Two/three different stories but don’t know which one to beleive. He’s quoted as saying he’s open to listening to different offers which would presume that he has been sacked,is free to join any team and a compensation between Spuds and himself has already been agreed.

December 11, 2019 at 9:29 am #1806658Steveo- Raul has far too much power these days and whoever he decides will have to agree to what the Spaniard wants. I wanted Ancelotti years ago when Wenger should have gone, but I wonder if he is now old, past it and not hungry any more? Like Benitez, some are after money not driving a club forward. I suspect if he came in that would be the end of any young players. Raul and his two henchmen, Edu and Vinay have screwed up over the Emery appointment big time and are clueless. With around 10 names in the frame, what sort of process is this?! The three prats will go for the cheapest option and one who does not cause a fuss when they decide who the next hopeless “bargain” player they bring in, ie someone like Smalling, who was kicked out of Utd as he can’t hack it in the Premiership any more.
December 11, 2019 at 9:34 am #1806662Smalling was actually there best defender (ou of a bad crop) and is mooted to go back and get a new offer form united, as for our shower choosing a manager, we should select the BEST and do what it takes to get them, not “interview” 10 men and choose, most o0f the tope guys will rightly tell us to do one! worried who the next manager will be, very worried
December 11, 2019 at 10:37 am #1806693I would not take anyone but we need someone. There is no manager we all agree on whoever we get half of us we think its a mistake! My No1 is Poch then would take Ancheloti certainly on a short term deal then but although not keen Arteta or Viera will do, we just need someone.

Ancellotiof the available they are the only onesi want at this point
Viera down the line but not now
December 11, 2019 at 11:39 am #1806747Why do you want Allegri Steve? Im always curious as to anyone wanting a manager who has only won the league with the only team competing for it, his time at Milan was a a rocky one and as soon as he lost their best players they declined rapidly finsinhed bottom half and duly got the sack. he doesnt speak English either. Its the same appointment as Unai all over again.
Ancelotti i get, hes a winner, he knows the prem well and has managed some of the best youth and experienced players going. Perfect for the job at hand right now.
Poch, would be good for the younger players but he only knows one way to play and that is out from the back, its clear as day that we aint any good at that and dont have teh players to do it.JEFF, not sure where you were for the Unai appointment but Edu wasnt at the club, neither was Vinay that appointment was solely down to that moron Gazidis. Not sure how you can blame them for someone else job.
December 11, 2019 at 12:00 pm #1806766Andy, my reasons….
one league, yes but what he achieved in that lauge and many CL runs also makes him a top manager IMHO
italians and italian league are known for defensive solidity, we need this more than anything, this is actuall our “DNA” 1-0 to the Arsenal!!!
He wont take nonsesne, is good tactically and thought highly of by Juve fans AND he is avaialble, YES he will need funds and time, but he (or Ancelloti) would both come straight in and improve the team via training and tactics IMHO, revamp in summer getting who they want and maybe we lose Auba, id take that alsoPoch, not for me
Brendan, all day but wont come now juts signed an extension
Viera, one league and done NOTHING, to early for me (maybe if we werent toxic)
Allegri has been getting english lessons since he left Juve, im sure he ias along way along and besides not speaking english didtn affect Poch, its a barrier but doesnt have to be a dead end to managementi want a real quality manager not a one trick pony or inexperienced manager we cant take the risk due to where we are now, we should go for the BEST and move heaven and earth to nail them down and support them…IF we have any ambition whatsoever….
December 11, 2019 at 12:05 pm #1806768AndyC, you’re spot on regarding Allegri, he isn’t the man and was interviewed when Dick Emery was given the job. As you state he doesn’t speak English, he is very Italian and wouldn’t have a clue about the PL. he wants to manage a Champions League Club and won’t come to us. Ancelotti would also be an absolute disaster, he is well past his sell by date and gets sacked from every job he’s had.
December 11, 2019 at 12:48 pm #1806799AndyC- I was here when Emery was appointed. My point was that these three buffoons were considering extending his contract before the season started. I blame Gazidis obviously for appointing Emery but since his departure the three idiots supposedly in charge have, if anything, taken the levels of incompetence to new depths. They are the ones as I said a few weeks ago, we have collected ( yes not all paid for yet) players to the value of £238m since Wenger and that bald prat left- who is this down to?
