Just a brief message Allan and hope you read this.
Just wanted you to know that you are thought of quite regularly and I know you are doing it tough. I am so pleased when 999 shares your thoughts with us as this place is not the same without your knowledge and wisdom, especially as CFC1905 has not posted for close to twelve months which is rather concerning.
Clearly this Covid-19 virus entering our lives is the very last thing that we need and especially the elderly population so please you and your family stay safe and take care.
Kind regards,
Chelsea 1967 (Steve).
May 3, 2020 at 1:48 pm #184280267, nice one 67 I’m not sure how often Allan can get to come on the site these days, I know he would like to read your kind message so hopefully with your approval I’ve passed it on to him as it will do him good. Cheers 9’s

July 7, 2020 at 3:36 am #1854927I know from previous comments on here and think I can speak for pretty much everyone that Allan is well respected and definitely missed on here. He will never be forgotten. I always loved his posts. A work of art. Absolute quality.

September 10, 2020 at 4:44 pm #1873147I had a very brief message from Allan thanking me for my recent e mail and regretting he can’t reply more fully.
Please keep Allan in your thoughts and prayers all.

November 11, 2020 at 2:35 pm #1892054Most recent e mail from Allan with his thoughts. Always a great read.
“Out of bed for a while and caught up with some football. Reactions?:-
1. Sad for Pulisic but Abraham partnered Werner. I repeat….strikers hunt in pairs, no matter who the coach then has to leave out!
2. We need only one defensive midfielder……that has been and still is Kante.
3. Can we stop focusing on age? Thiago Silva was never a risk nor would Bonucci have been. You cannot buy experience other than as a warm body. The “speed” that everyone goes on about in football is measured by the speed the ball moves….not sprinting – otherwise Usain Bolt would have been as good as Pele! That speed suffers with age but experience not nearly as much. Speed over 3yards (like Greaves) can be countered by experience (like Silva).
4. Shame Marc Guehi is on loan. Easily the best and most technical of the youth-set now wasting the second year of a loan spell when tutelage awaits at Cobham through Silva.
5. The training ground atmosphere makes football harder to watch for me as does poor player discipline (diving) allied to weak refereeing and VAR. Money (or the lust thereof) is affecting the game and left unchecked will kill it.”
November 12, 2020 at 10:33 pm #1892442Geez I’ve missed the wonderful words and wisdom of our Allan Palmer. If you read this my friend always remember that my thoughts are never far away. I am pleased that the latest dip into the transfer market has given us a whole new and refreshing Chelsea to support and things will only get better to watch. Hopefully this 90% effective vaccine will do the trick and we can live our lives with some normality again. Certainly the lack of crowd support has affected the game in many ways. The watching experience however also the team performances. Going to Anfield or Old Trafford has never been easier even though it is never easy. Some of the strange results this season reflect the impact the virus has had on the psyche of some of the clubs with results out of the ordinary and some weird scorelines here and there 🙂
November 12, 2020 at 10:42 pm #1892443and and Allan, meant to also mention that I hope that your health is improving for you. 🙂
April 6, 2021 at 11:16 am #1940483I’ve recovered this thread. I hope any news regarding Allan is positive. It’s been a while and apart from being concerned for his welfare in these difficult Covid times especially due to his health issues, he is missed greatly for his famous words of wisdom and unequaled knowledge on all things Chelsea. Wish him well please 999.
April 6, 2021 at 11:22 am #1940485I’m a bit worried 67 I’ve sent Allan several messages but have had no replies which is not like Allan he always replies even if he can only manage a one liner. I will keep trying though. Cheers 9’s
April 6, 2021 at 11:59 am #1940499Oh dear. Hoping for the best 999.
