Our continuing inability to get transfers over the line. Still no fullbacks.
Whoever is negotiating must have been taking lessons from Mrs May and Boris Johnson

I agree why are we so slow on wrapping them up?

I dont care about Sanchez, Messi or anyone else if we do not get some defensiv cover we will not win a game. Walker, Mendy, Alves why is it not happening anything?

Well Alves going to PSG – Pep is such a big draw! And still we have no new defenders.

I can understand Alves decision…but City should have checked out all the areas where he would choose somebody else. This time , his wife, who I can understand would prefer Paris to manchester being a model, cannot bame her for that either..the point is City should have seen that comeing and moved long before now.
Selling and buying does not appear to be a strong point with City, whoever is in charge. Players on the way out should have gone long before now and players we are interested in should have been on the training ground this week.

Goat-bloke… you’re right, everything is better at Moneybags City, money can even buy you class and humility, everything in fact, except one thing, and that’s my Spuds first choice right-back, 53 million whatever’s, even peso’s, for our 2nd choice right-back, was a decent bit of business I reckon! Our tea-lady is up for grabs, only 25 million! 🙂

Think we need some sugar-daddy to go in our tea, other wise it would be pointless trying to win the League. At least you lot are wiping the arrogant smirks of that other money bags club down the road…. I’ll get me coat, cheaque please!

Spur’s have money, just like your neighbours who also play in Red. It is more about selling for a high price then think it is wonderful but only if you re invest in new players that improve team. Please do not go like them

Brian my cyber chum, Walker had lost his place in the Spud 11 by the end of the season, with Trippier being preferred for the big games when it mattered, and the longstanding rumors about Walker being a bit of a Billy Big-boots around the training ground and upsetting the mojo, that’s why not many if any Spud lovers are sulking about this. Walker is undoubtedly a quicker player than Trippier, but Trippier is a much better all around player.
Walker had Llrois, Toby, Van the Man, Dier, Dembele and Wananayayyama all covering for him when he went on his road-runner impressions… 50 million for our 2nd choice right-back? Yes Please!

I’m sure Poncho is going to spunk the cash if he finds the right player, it’s just finding them…

We’re ripped off on the fee but we need a right back and an English player to boot – the price of anything is what someone is willing to pay for it. Walker isn’t amazing but does improve us and so could prove to be a crucial part if we are successful next year, in which case it’s worth it.

Please don’t come on here with sugar daddy nonsense, every team now has a benefactor and every team spends unreal amounts, it’s not binary anymore, there’s no Roy of the rovers, it’s just on a scale.

You’re right Trippier was in the team by season end but you must know that was because Walker was angling for a move, you don’t need him but you do need another right back still. The move suits everyone, if we had Spurs’ fullbacks last season I believe we would have won the league, if we add Mendy now then we’re ready – I’d be more concerned about your own new stadium rather than our crowd

Trippier…yes he is a good player…he has to be…brought up right by City. Walker, I accept we have overpaid, however, with Sanga and Zabba gone, premture in my mind, we did the same with Hart last season and paid for it. However, looking on the bright side, he may do very well at City and no way he will be allowed to be a bully here…..we have not just a player but a squad that will see to that and not forgetting the Boss himself

mcfc… okay, why not mention the sugar daddy thing? Just to be clear, I’ve got no problem with it, wish us Spuds had somebody who can spunk that kind of cash every summer, the sugar daddy title goes to whoever has got the biggest “benefactor” as you put it and this summer it seems to be your mob. If you lot don’t like it, I suggest you change your team to one who doesn’t spend the dosh City do, but don’t be crying about it, my cyber chum!

How dare you come on here and tell me to change my team? Jog on pal. I, like most City fans, were there all the same when we were at our lowest standing in our history as we are now, enjoying the ride of finally being able to compete with the best teams in Europe. You’ve gone down a fair amount in my estimation now my lad and I’m no longer interested in hearing from you, enjoy your upcoming abysmal home record at Wembley next season – you’ll do well to lock down 6th

Spurs also need to worrying about calming their own dressing room without mutiny – Kane, Alli, Dier, Eriksen, Rose will all look at the walker deal and think – whys that not me – Arsenal have underpaid and undervalued for years. To have players like Sanchez, Ozil and Ox go into final year of contract is penny pinching

    In fact it’s already started

mcfc…. ahhh, diddums… if the shoe fits “pal”, then you have to wear it. Like I said, got no problem with it but you can’t deny you’re a sugar daddy club now, an Arab plaything. Enjoy the ride, I certainly would, but throwing your toys out your pram (or go running to Daddy!) is just making you look like a spoilt child!
