Just seen Albion played 0-0 against Blackpool on tv and i must say this is a very poor team.We have absolutely nothing to do in prem and we will never go up with this team.We are looking poor all over.I will say AGAIN our strikers are so poor and nobody of them has any value,Hughill worst of them,Robbo is a joke, and Grant is not value what we paid for him, missed a sitter today,Zohore i dont know about him crap i recon. When you see these strikers you would have signed at least 2 new ones, but our crap manager say ALBION dont need any new strikers in jan.V Ismael has no clue and needs to go ASAP.Our midtfield are trying but they are only champ players. In defense Ismael think Cipre is better than Ajaiy,i cant belive it,cause Cipre was a Bambi on ice today and was helped by other defenders time after time.He must be one of our worst defender in my supporting history of ALBION.We need a new manager, new board and new players in or we will drop down the table. It was only ALBIONs fans who were brilliant today with their singing.Norway baggie

The biggest problem is the lack of an effective striker. With the right signing I think Grant or Phillips could lift their games. Hugill must be returned to Norwich and Diangana needs to be sold. Kipre is an accident waiting to happen, Ajayi is better, but finds the Back 3 system difficult.
If the manager doesn’t think we need a striker, then he must be hallucinating that we can play like Man City ……. clearly we can’t

The only striker we have is League 1 at best the others are really wingers. VI continues to play Diangana on the right when everyone knows he’s better on the left. There is no plan B nor is there any variation with the subs either on the bench or coming on after 60 minutes! After the last two games I’ve been getting the impression that one or two players have thought sod this system I’m playing my way.Last night Clarke spent more time in their 18 yard box than our strikers. Townsend was our best attacking midfielder, Only Furlong was subdued (probably pissed off with running up and down). Mulumby gets about. His passing isn’t always accurate but at least he wins the ball. Unless something changes I can’t see us being in the top six on January 1st!

For me the most distressing aspect of this season is now the complete indifference with which I view our matches and the results we achieve. Pulis wore me down but at least we had some highly useful players; now we have Johnstone and precious little else playing village green football led by a manager even more one dimensional than the man himself.

It is utterly dire and I think Northwich is right in that some of the team are tiring of this crap and indulging themselves a little by trying to be more creative. Sadly none of them are much good at it not even our £18m man who looks a complete fish out of water in this side. Remember him just two years ago?

In a low quality Chumpionship we are no better than mid table and now that the novelty of ‘shock and awe’ is long gone our results are and will continue to reflect that as the opposition is now fully briefed. The genius behind this system (yep, the guy who has won nothing) apparently developed it during his last match with Wolfsburg in which they managed more than 20 shots at goal. They lost the game ( a play off) and he was sacked (for the fourth time by my reckoning) but he had a new philosophy. Now we do and its dreadful.

Worse than paying out £2m to secure his dubious services I understand that thanks largely to our old friend Dowling we committed to a five year contract so the early pay off is likely to be in the order of £12m. Anyone think that is about to happen? We are on the road to nowhere and it is hard to see this changing unless the Chinaman can find a buyer with some real interest in the club and its future.

There are odd things that lighten the gloom however and the full throat that our away supporters gave throughout last nights match made me proud as punch to be a Baggie. There were understandably some boos at the end but they deserve so much more than they are getting

I think it’s a four year contract but still it’s outrageous. Nobody’s given a four year contract unless they’ve actually proved themselves. That’s crazy. Gerard, Dean Smith and Howe two and a half years; Silva. Moyes and Parker, three. Benitez Two. Tuchel one and a half. Slaven Bilic was only given TWO .AND VALARIAN ISHMAEL is given FOUR YEARS. I knew madness was quietly overtaking our beloved club. Two or three years is the norm. FOUR years under VI is like a gaol sentence.

I think Peterborough have just given Ferguson a 3.5 year contract, they might regret that, getting well beaten again tonight

They might, but Ferguson got them up last season and they have a chance of staying up. And Ferguson’s been there before, they know exactly what they’re getting and are perhaps resigned to the possibility of being a yo-yo club. Albion for the last few seasons have been back in the status of a yo-yo club. With Val in charge I don’t think we’ll retain that status. Way back in 2000, Gary Megson changed our status, taking over a failing Championship club and converting us into a yoyo club. Since then our Championship campaigns have always resulted in promotion or a failed play off attempt, including a fairly comfortable spell of eight continuous years in the Premiership. I hope I’m wrong but I think Val is taking us back to the pre-Megson years, or will do if he’s allowed more than one year to wreak his damage.
