So,yesterday showed Klopp’s ‘terrible mistakes’, but in the Arsenal game,Mane scored, and Wijnaldum set up a goal,s o they weren’t bad then were they? The signings weren’t the problem yesterday. The tactics, set up,and overall performance was. Burnley set up a certain way,and Liverpool couldn’t cope with it. We’ve had the same problem with these types of team for years, and we haven’t learnt. We’re still making the same mistakes, even with a new manager.

st, Klopp has been like a breath of fresh air since coming in and I’m sure there’s a lot more to come from him but Liverpool’s problems under Rodgers were all in defence and that problem still hasn’t been solved as the 50 goals conceded in the PL last season and 5 goals conceded in the first 2 PL confirms. It’s something Klopp will have to solve if Liverpool are going to progress.

Love the Negativity after One defeat, Klopp isn’t a SuperHumanBeing and will get some things wrong as He did Yesterday, He will get it right but only 10 Months into His managerial reign at Anfield and some Knives are already being sharpened, Give the Fella a proper chance to develop His side and put His own stamp on it before making Rash Judgements. I have the Utmost faith in Him and the Owners of the Club.

Liverpool fans can’t be negative after just one defeat. When Poch came to Spurs first it took along time before things clicked and look at the improvement in Spurs now.Everything takes time so have patience and see how Liverpool are doing by end of season.

I’m beginning to wonder about just how committed FSG are to the cause. The areas we need to address are glaring to everyone. It can be solved by bringing in a lb and midfield enforcer. All we are getting are rumours and links which come to nothing. If those two areas are not addressed by the end of this window then as far as I’m concerned it’s time for FSG to sell up.

FSG are in it for the Long Haul Shanksy, It’s up to Klopp to identify where the problems within the Team are and to ask for Money to bring those players in IMO, FSG have done a very good job and although their principles are very much different to other owners of Clubs I believe we are in good hands.

Nine, yep, that covers it mate. A poor defence who struggle to defend, and our new keeper ruled out,so we have to make do with Coco the Clown in the net for now. We’ve spent so much money on the defence in recent times, and yet,it hasn’t made much difference. For as good as we are going forward,we are poor at the other end of the pitch, and unfortunately, until it’s sorted,we will continue to struggle

Total, I’m all for patience and am certainly not expecting miracles. Indeed in Klopp’s first two seasons at Dortmund he came 6th & 5th respectively. Better players will of course improve us. But after nearly a year in charge, there are a few things worrying me. The Bundesliga is not as competitive as the Premier League. Tactically, in our first two games, Klopp hasn’t set us up right, and take away his pressing game, and he doesn’t seem to have many answers. To come out with a comment like “We need a plan against deeper defending teams” is a bit weak for me. His very poor record in finals, losing 5 of the last 6, also backs up the question marks raised over his tactical credentials, because tactics are so important in finals. We’ll get better, I’m sure of that. How much better however, in this premier league, is very much to be seen.

You could play that game another 10 times and Liverpool would have won 6 or 7 of them. 23 shots to 3 and 80% of possession says that is was just a problem of putting the ball in the back of the net.

Manthistle, unfortunately,we have problems against teams that park the bus,and most of those shots were ‘hit and hope’ efforts, after Burnley had frustrated us,and proved hard to break down.

We’ve had problems against teams who play that way for years now. When we play against teams who open the game up,and have a go at us,we get more joy (you saw that at Arsenal last week: they pushed forward looking for goals, and in the space of 15 minutes,Liverpool scored 3 goals and killed them). This is why I fancy us to beat Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Saturday. They are at home,so will presumably have a go at us,we will press them, and use our pace to create chances, and hopefully get some joy. We couldn’t press Burnley, because we had most of the ball, and we had no plan B.

Wijnaldum said that we lost because “we couldn’t deal with Burnley’s long balls”. Not the greatest excuse to be fair, quite a poor one in fact. Mind you, they struggle to defend balls into the box from set pieces,so maybe it’s not that big a shock in fairness. The Burnley defeat is the latest in a long line of games we’ve lost against “lesser sides” over the years. What happened yesterday is nothing new

Liverpool have rather lost their soul along the way haven’t they?
From Heighway Toshack etc to today’s ‘heroes’ is a long long journey and they’ve become a classic tribute to themselves, like a rock band that’s been on the road too long.
In truth Liverpool Fc have always experienced long periods of failure in between the occasional rainbows and their last flowering with Shanks and the European success was probably the greatest of any club in terms of connection of club to community.
It’s gone now though, well gone, and they should really have a breakaway faction well in place by now, Fc Bootroom of Liverpool, playing in the Northern Prem, each player with a perm and an handlebar moustache.
Alas there’s no planning or forsight these days………..

I think taxi we will all end up supporting breakaway clubs as the money and foreign ownership gets more and more ridiculous.
I’m sure most Wolves fans of a certain vintage know there’s a crumbling terrace in Bilston with their name on it……..ha ha ha

Absolutely Taxi, i remember a pitch invasion after we’d put 5 past Arsenal back in the early seventies and the Doog scooping up one of the kids who’d run on the pitch and dancing round the ground with him. A different kinder age mate.

I think the real problem is the name of the club. “Liverpool FC” sounds like a curse word when it comes off the tongue. Change the name and you might change your luck.
