@happyhurling – This is not a new interview, but its recent (ie Ole is manager) and I had not seen it so perhaps you haven’t. It gives a good insight into Ole (the personal assessment stage we spoke of) and you may find it interesting.

Yeah it’s a good clip Mac. Didn’t manage to watch all of it but it is an eye-opener. Liked his comment that the squad has a World Cup winner in it as well as the best goal keeper in the world and all it takes is getting them to replicate the form they’re capable of.
“No game is a lost cause”. Great attitude.

Sitting on the bench doing the preparation for management is also really interesting.

What he learnt from Fergie was “You’ve got to win”!

I didn’t watch it start to finish (will do just haven’t had time). I scan watched it. One thing he was saying was how Fergie the day after the treble was already planning for the next season. And how that describes the hunger for more.

And he explained how Fergie would motivate different players in different ways. Quite funny that bit. He said to motivate Ronaldo he would bollock Rooney. He said, Nani got sent off and half time he really laced into him so much the rest of the team were motivated to make sure they won the match.

And, there’s a clip from a Norway TV interview after his last United game. Ole broke down in tears. That’s the love, the passion you can never get from a LvG, JM or Poch.

PS – when Ole is offered a contract I can see him doing a Scholsey, no agent, no talk of money just a “who’s got a pen?”

PS – Just finished watching it. It almost had me in tears, and believe me that aint easy. He’s spot on in everything he says and such a nice, humble and focused bloke. Even if it all goes pear shaped, we can be sure he gave it his all.
