May as well start a Leicester thread, no one else seems bothered about our club so as usual I’ll do it. Front 3 was wrong last night. Why not start Nelson or Willock on the right with Saka on the left and Abameyang through the centre, we would have won that game. Both Saka and Abameyang would be far more effective, last night all of the chances fell to Lacazette and he blew them all, we should have been out of sight at half time. Ceballos was excellent last night, creating attacking options all night, shame that Xhaka can’t do the same. The cross for Vardy’s goal should have been cut out and his run should have been tracked. As for the sendings off, they should have been treated the same, personally I don’t think either were sendings off but if Nketiah’s was so was Vardy. I think we tired towards the end which is not surprising, let’s hope the extra day and some team changes freshen us up for the Spuds game at the weekend.

I feel strange after last night I am disappointed but not the same old reasons. We should have won the game with the amount of chances we had and I feel we only lost because of the the sending off. I would not have started with Saka on the right especially after the last game but he was better today and he did create the goal. Attacking we were very good and created a lot of very good chances or moments. But for their keeper and some poor finishing we should have won the game. I cant decide whether its fair to be pissed off with Laca as thought he played well except his finishing was off again. I think he should have scored especially the header, which was a great ball by Bellerin who was much better. Ceb was outstanding first half and the back 5 again looked fairly solid again against a very good attacking team. Eddie was unlucky as there was obviously no intention but it did cost us the game. Overall I am disappointed but feel different as I suppose I am not Angry for once.

Laca should have done better, and at least put another one in. He seems to not be clinical enough with his finishing. The header was not directed in any fashion.
Both Vardy’s and Eddie fouls were not intentional, but Eddie had the studs out and reaching, so a red card.
Their goal, in my opinion had a Perez touch and thus Vardy offside. I still can’t believe that you can allow Vardy in behind you and not have him covered. Mustafi and Bellerin often get caught with leaving a man clear. Mustafi went again with wrong foot and tried to put out the ball on the wrong side. However, was a split second, so I can’t say too much really.
First half was good. If Lacazette had converted another one, I think we would have taken it.

you guys definitely did enough in the first half to win it. Schmeichel was outstanding for us, unfortunately he has been our best player since the restart.

As for the sending off, yes he didn’t mean it but it was very dangerous to have his studs up in the first place so has to be a red. Not really sure how anyone can think the Vardy incident was a red, totally accidental and did not attempt to put his feet in a dangerous position. The only people I have heard say it should have been a red are either Arsenal fans or Arteta during the post match. Even the pundits were baffled at what incidents he was even referring to.

As for our goal, I didn’t see evidence that Perez touched it, remember VAR has to prove he did, you can’t assume. However, I actually thought Vardy’s upper-body was offside from the ball from Gray. I was convinced it would get ruled off.

Yes, the sending off made us stronger, but I thought we were already getting the upper hand in that second half.
