Once again it’s all about team selection, formation, tactics and attitude. I don’t want to see either Partey or Xhaka and I don’t want to see Abameyang or Lacazette. These loafers have let the others down for long enough. Team I want to see but won’t. Ramsdale; Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Maitland-Niles, Lokonga; Saka, Smith-Rowe, Martinelli, Nketiah or Balogun (both figure at some stage). Arteta will stick to his old favourites, we won’t have a genuine on field captain and there will be lots of pedestrian slow build up. Really hope he surprises us.

He will continue with Partey and Xhaka in the middle unless they are unfit. Its the as with Willian some just get to play no matter what despite If their performance is bad a couple of games in a row.

I mean Arteta said that Partey would show his best against Everton and he had his worst yet will play today.

I cant see him dropping both Xhaka and Partey I have I sneaky feeling he may play Xhaka and Lokonga. None of our midfield or attack can complain if they get dropped, it’s not working at the moment. I am not sure what would work but my biggest worry is nor does Arteta. This Pepe thing is ridiculous if he can’t get a game when we have been this shit then what’s the point. I am also wary of the young kids getting ruined by playing in a shit team so I would not throw them all in. Let’s just get some sort of performance today and three points.

FFS he’s picked the same team, it’s a good job Soton are poor and are missing a lot of players otherwise we would be in trouble. Abameyang is being apparently being left out indefinitely because of a breach of discipline. This is down to the manager, why did he make Abameyang captain, why does he keep picking him. Arteta hasn’t got a clue

Once again we win and there are no comments, once again the younger players star and once again the senior players let us down. Before we even start the club are let down by Abameyang or Ozil MkII as he is now know. What’s this couldn’t care less parasite doing as our captain? Kick him out in January, we don’t need another Ozil, I don’t want to see this individual ever play for the club again. The game starts and we are awful for 20 mins. Gabriel booked after 3 mins and shortly after he passes to a Soton player and was lucky not to cost us a goal. Then White & Tierney gave it away and we were sloppy sloppy sloppy, this must be stamped out. The goal which was excellent changed the game, brilliant move which almost went wrong but it was a class goal, good move, great run and cross by Saka and a quality finish from Lacazette. Odegaard scored again 3/3 for him and he played really well and along with Ramsdale was our MOTM. Gabriel added a third and by then he and White had improved and were playing much better. Tomiyasu was excellent, he really is a good signing, very solid and reliable. Martinelli full of running and energy, tireless, he had a good game. Ramsdale still had to make a number of saves and he had another very good game. Then we come to the weak links, Partey just isn’t up to PL football, it passes him by, he can’t cope, such a poor signing. Then there’s Xhaka, he was awful, I always count the number of times he gives the ball away but I gave up after 8 in the first 25mins. Apparently the first half total was TWELVE, he gave the ball away TWELVE times in 45 minutes!!!!!. What is it this clodhopper can actually do? He is absolutely useless. Arteta play AMN & Lokonga, they are much better than those two. Had Soton been at full strength we may well have been in trouble. So plus points Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, Tierney, Saka, Martinelli, Odegaard. OK performances Lacazette, White, Gabriel. Average Partey. Utter crap The Donkey. Play like the first 20mins against West Ham and we could be in trouble.

They had so many injuries yet they at least matched us in the first 20 mins but it was not as one sided as I hade read. Decent performance and a good three points not much more to say than that ! Don’t think we learned anything new. I am going to struggle to fully buy into this team because it keeps letting me down. I am trying to take a step back so my weekends or weeks are not ruined !

It seems some people are happier when we lose. Every game we lose the same person appears criticising our better players but not the real culprits. When we lose nothing, it must be really miserable for some a 3-0 win. How pathetic. Only 2 post before and after every game, says a lot doesn’t it.

I agree Oracle, bad results seem to make people happy so they can spout the same thing again and again. I am happy when we win and I don’t ignore the issues we have just because we won a game.

Well stev2bath1, you and I are the only 2 that post before and after every game irrespective of the results. That’s why I respect you and show utter contempt towards the one who celebrates defeat as if it’s a badge of honour.

Well not everybody wants to repeat themselves either almost every game looks the same win or loose.

I dont watch the games as Im on pause so I cannot comment on the performance well I can but it would not be right.

I have however noticed that the same issues are there even If we win. Artetas way is not my cup off tea both on the pitch and off it. I just dont see any benefit of reapeting myself. But I do enjoy a win more than a loss for sure

Same old Accusations. What exactly is there to celebrate against a win against a team that we are expected to beat comfortably.

Our major tests were Liverpool,Utd and Everton. We failed in all three conceding 9 goals. That included 50m Ben White and 17m Tomiyasu. Is that what we signed them up for?You will say they keep clean sheets in other games but they are irrelevant games. When it really mattered they bottled it.

Going into those games we were in good form and those opposition teams hadn’t won in a long time.
Our problem is not consistency. It’s the utter lack of quality.

I’m sorry have to keep mentioning this but ultimately it comes back down to this.
Just wondering, if we kept Golden boy nominee Salliba and avoided splashing 50m on Unproven Ben White.
That 50m could’ve been better spent on midfielders which we desperately need for this Obsessive play from the back system.
We could’ve signed Bissouma,Aouar and Ramsey in that amount.

So let’s not ignore that the recruitment has been terrible because it all comes back down to that and certain decisions.I don’t have much of a problem with Arteta but sacking him would be a consequence of his decisions over the summer and not a solution.
