Villa will have everyone behind the ball, bet we struggle to break them down.

Rest everybody against Astana. Give the Oaf one last game before shipping him off, anywhere in January
Btw, two games in one post will get messy. Will make the predictions scoring almost impossible. Maybe another thread for Villa game after Thursday?

I see he’s included young Lingard in the squad for Thursday 🙃

Seriously that’s a young squad. Well done to the young lad coming back after his cancer treatment, not nice at any stage of life.

Average age of 20! And that includes Grant at 36!

Irrespective of the result at Astana I hope that the Jonahs on this page can curtail there baser instincts and concentrate on the finer points of the United performance, particularly as there are a number of youngsters who have never played at this level before.

There is nothing more discouraging than a page full of negativity both for the players who read it and those of us with sufficient experience in the football world to recognise that you can’t be winners all the time {SAF’s United were exceptional), and if you can’t be winners, be entertaining.

Wow really happy with the squad…finally Shaw and Lingard playing with a well deserved team of their calibre..looking forward to watch Garner, Gomez and Chong

I’m already satisfied with Mason, he has the potential to be a star some day

3-0 Chong, Gomez and a tuanzebe to score

Great to see Tuanzebe back starting. Hopefully that’s Jones one step closer to the exit door

Be interesting to see how lardy Luke’s wobbly “physique” has fared over the 96 days and 150 plus trips to Burger King since he last ‘graced’ us with his presence.
I’m betting he’s at least into a ‘C’ cup bra by now, and that he will be blowing out of every orifice before he even gets through the warm up!

    Tease.

Gomes and Chong will never make it at United. They can’t even dribble past a man as wingers…

Not a bad performance from most of the lads, probably deserved a draw. AWB could learn a thing or two about attacking from the right back position from Ethan Laird.
Much rather see these lads play in future cup games rather than the usual suspects.

Sympathy-Gomes & Chong ahead of Mata & Lingard any day of the week,at least they have time on their side.

I’ve heard really good things about Laird, could be a top player in a few years. But, as we’ve repeatedly said, they need world class players around them. Real leaders, Roy Keane types plus an incredible goal threat – Rashford might be that person but he needs help.
