I don’t understand how we can play well against Brighton then forget how to play when it comes to Sheffield Utd and Villa. Is McTominay that much of a miss?

Biggest things I took from the game is no movement upfront apart from Mata. Martial needs a rocket up his arse as hes making Lukaku look mobile. And we have no midfield. Pereira and Fred are Championship level at best. After losing Herrera we have our first 3 midfielders out. Most teams would struggle with those loses. Imagine Liverpool without Fabinho, Keita and Henderson. City without Fernandinho, Rodri and Gundogan. Chelsea without Kante, Jorginho and Kovacic. Our players aren’t that quality but theyre missed.

From an attacking perspective I really think we should be looking at Todd Cantwell of Norwich. Looked at him against the gooners this weekend and I think he’s got something. He’s scored in the last two games, he’s got good vision and awareness. I think we could get him for £60m less than we’d pay for Maddison and I think he’ll as good or as close to as makes little difference

I guess it shows how important Mctominay has become. We weren’t conceding goals like that when he was playing…

nath44 – You want to accentuate the positives whilst I’m looking at the season objectively. Let’s look at those games you mentioned.

I can also come up with a narrative why we could and should have won against Villa, Sheff Utd, Southampton, Palace and Wolves. But, it doesn’t work that way.

As I have already mentioned, we have a thin squad ravaged by injuries. No team can cope with the amount of injuries we have had and most importantly, NO MANAGER could work miracles with our current squad. I remember Barcelona went through a period where they finished 4th a couple of times and even 6th one season in the early 2000’s. It was only when they got Ronaldinho in 2003 when they kicked on. Happens to every team eventually. Utd will be back

We’ve to give Ole more time and MONEY to build his team, just as Pep and Klopp. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

@nath44Not one player has improved under Ole.

Are you out of your mind? Rashford is in the form of his life. McTomminay is developing into a very good midfielder. Fred has struggled since joining Utd, but has improved a lot over the past few weeks. Nobody thought Daniel James would have an instant impact. Martial was playing well before his injury. De Gea is getting back to his very best. Even Shaw was named Utd player last season under Ole. Shame his progress is hindered by injury this season. Lindelof is playing better under Ole than when Jose was here. I don’t expect the likes of Matic, Mata, Rojo, Jones, Young, etc to improve under any manager.

Ole has given a chance for a number of academy players. We qualified for the knock-out stage of the Europa league, we’re still in Car cup. We also have a chance of making top 4.
