Fucking madly efficient bastards. Fair play if they cough up £35 million for him, that’s a fair price all round.

So it looks like they may lose Alaba and Boateng on free transfers and replace them with Upamecano and Aarons for a combined £70 million odd. That would leave them with 6x very good defenders – two attacking full backs, two defensive full backs who can also play CB and two out and out CB’s. All with an average age under 23

Edit: … and probably reduce their wage bill by about £10 million a year in the process

They are a very well run club for sure mate, we are a million miles away from them and City both on the pitch and in the boardroom.

The AWB and Lindelof channel is the source of the majority of goals we concede. AWB is utterly brainless with very poor positional sense and obvious discomfort on the ball while Lindelof is a weak man, without pace and power either on the ground or in the air. He is also shitless in the ball and can never get rid of it quick enough -usually to AWB who never fucking wants it to befin with. This pair make my eyes fucking bleed and no amount of Zico’s absolute horse shite about Maguire will ever disguise or change that.

This is now year 2 of this gruesome combo side by side and its as clear as the roman and roaming nose on Phil Thompsons visage that neither are remotely good enough for a side with trophy winning aspirations.

Maguire is also utter doggers, he is also at fault for plenty of goals and puts us under severe pressure by dropping deep. Be interesting if we were to get another manager, would he get 2 new CB’s?

Maguire was a bad buy, is a hearse but is comfortable on the ball and decent in the air.
Based on all the central defensive options at our disposal, he must be accompanied by someone with pace (Bailly) which seems to be beyond the wisdom of Ole. The man with pace being the last man holding the line then.

We do not have any option on our books with the entire skillset to accompany the Swede. Aerially, a Bailly Lindelof combo would be “mauled”.

@redblood – I just watched Jagielka against West ham tonight, this is the same guy that looked prime Maldini against our Rashy and Co the other night. See what Fulham did to Everton last night too? I’m sick of it. It’s like no matter who we play they find so much joy playing through us with ease.

Redbloid, I’m sure you have seen the painfully slow approach with which we are replacing and moving on the players who wont take us forward.
Unfortunately, we need to minimise our weaknesses while they are still on the books so on that basis I recommend phasing out the biggest liabilities first. And for me DDG and Lindelof are the biggest liabilities in that back 5.
