@n1xer, we’re a club ran by foreign business men. Their aim is to make a profit from us (the fans), and expand the brand to make more and more money.

If they can keep us successful with minimum expenditure they will, but they are clueless as to what to do and there are plenty of other clubs overtaking us now.

We have a finance manager running the club and we are being held hostage to agents of every good player at the club.

Rashford is a top young talent and we have no first team player better than him to play, we’ll pay whatever his agent wants or be in a world of shit if he leaves. Martial has ability but to me just looks like he’ll never be any better than the day he joined.

Lingard, decent, not sure what’s happened since the start of the season but to replace him would be 50-60m, so we’ll pay him what he wants too.

3-0 down and he brings on a RB for a LW

Beginning to realise why he has a PL relegation and 3 Viking cups on his CV Haha

@n1xer – In the last year or so Woodturd has given big new contracts to Fellaini, Rojo, Shaw, Martial, Jones and Smalling, added to which he has sanctioned Sanchez’s ridiculous wages and now we hear Rashford is going to become one of the top 15 or 20 paid players in world football, even though he is little more than a one trick pony.

The penny must surely have well and truly dropped by now with those deluded dreamers who continually insisted that it was only Jose’s management that was holding these players back from mounting a title challenge, especially one in particular who hasn’t shown up on here for a few months now.

It was always my strong belief that the total lack of quality anywhere in the squad that was the root cause of it all and nights like this only go to doubly underline that view.

Honestly, I would sell or release for free every single one of these useless jokers and start again from scratch, it could not be any worse than this.

@mike2005 – It would cost 50-60m to replace that useless wankstain Lingard, are you sure?. Just look at the likes of Maddison and Brooks who have come out of the Championship in the last year or so, they are both twenty times the player than that useless cunt is, and if all you have in your locker is to run around like a headless chicken producing absolutely fuck all in the final third game after game after game then you could pluck some guy out of the crowd at OT to do that, simple as that.

Shame Alexis Sanchez didn’t get his glamour goal. He could have replayed that whilst playing chopsticks into his next club in the summmer.

The best thing that can happen now is to finish outside the European places. Those that want to leave will leave and we can start from fresh.

We need a compete reset from top to bottom.

@nath44, we can only do that with a change of owners. Finishing outside the top 4 won’t destroy the Glazers profits or Woodward’s financial targets based on the number of sponsors we keep gaining.

It will affect our ability to attract top players and it will impact the motivation of our players to keep thinking we’ll be a successful club one day.

@blacky, how much would Brooks cost us in the summer? Our scouting team doesn’t find anyone and we aren’t in a position to give championship players a run in the team.

Lol Pogba and De Gea our supposedly only world class players having another woeful game 😅 I’m not even pissed to be honest, our captain our world class goalkeeper and one the world’s “best” midfielders competing for worst player of the game, no heart no desire the rest were just running around clueless anyway now it’s not just 3 or 4 players it’s a complete overhaul top to bottom poor OGS I hope the board supports him

@mike2005, To some extent I agree. I’d happily have the owners out, however they have invested heavily since SAF retired.

The problem we’ve had is our board from a footballing point of view. Our transfer policy has lacked direction, cohesion and planning. We have outspent Liverpool, yet with their transfer committee, they have bought extremely well and in the right areas.

Look at what Ajax have achieved with their limited spending, knocking out both Real and Juventus.

Its also not the Glazers offering contracts to Young, Jones and Smalling. Our system is broken.

Not 1 player is worth fighting to keep hold of. Solskjaer is worrying me with his tactics and team selection. How the hell did lingard stay on for 80mins and 90 mins against West ham is beyond me. Alba and Roberto made our wingers look like lazy fuckers never mind full backs.

Well finishing outside the top four WILL affect the Glazers because we’ll lose a share of the kit deal with Adidas and probably a number of others. Which in turn will mean less money in the transfer pot. But then, who the fuck will want to sign for a club that’s not in next season’s CL? Disastrous I’m afraid.

@mike2005 – I agree about our scouts and asked recently how non unaccountable they are for the diabolical job that they are doing. As for replacing Lingard with a Championship player, why the fuck not?. He could hardly perform worse than that snivelling overrated little fucker does every week, he’s just the absolute epitome of dog shit mate, simple as that.

What does tickle me on here though, is how most let those three useless cunts up front get away with it. Barely a word said against them. Laughable!

Nathan Redmond is better than lingard. That’s how easily he can be replaced

    #1743275

There was a time that I would be heartbroken after a CL elimination, but not anymore. It shows where our standards have fallen.

Do I blame Solskjaer for the defeat? Not that much – choosing Young is criminal but it’s not like we have any sure-in replacements. We needed someone to run up front and Lingard was meant to provide that (like he did during the winning run), Lukaku and Sanchez simply aren’t good enough just like Lingard but at least the latter could provide running.

The true criminals in all this is upper management who have allowed the quality to drop down to this level since they were appointed. We are miles behind Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Man City, Liverpool…. even Ajax, Porto, Bayern Munich and others are better than us.

Clubs have built up from lower than we are but it will take a lot of time and money, and no shortage of heart and passion from whoever is part of this team (on the field or off it).

Just want these players to get Top 4 till the end of the season and then hope the Glazers and Woodward support Solskjaer – that’s all any of us can hope for.

Men against boys out there today fellas. Fair dos to Messi’s first goal which was an absolutely belting shot after the typical amateurish defending cameo by Young but De Gea’s error for the second killed the game and after that we looked to be a punching bag eleven keeping Barcelona fit in one of their training sessions.

This Barcelona team isn’t really that good and will probably be knocked out by better opposition in this competition.

I am not too upset today, it feels more like a confirmation of how far off the pace we are in Europe’s elite competition. Pains me to say but to walk away with a quarter final run in the Champions League with this squad is an above par performance. We are so rubbish and so far off our expected standards that I am numb to these type of results.

Solskjaer showed me nothing to prove that he has any of the tactical nous to manage at this level today. I don’t know what our game plan was today, no pattern of play, possession, or attacking flow was evident. Watch Ajax beating Juventus and it’s clear as day that some hot blooded youngsters with a plan can always fluster more experienced and skillful players.

I will give OGS the benefit of the doubt because he is still trying to cobble Christian Louboutin out of rabbit skin but his game management and tactics are still out for jury.

@redblood. How was the atmosphere there at the Nou Camp? You have any fun watching that?
