Roll on the summer lads. Cant see us getting 4 points out of our next 3 PL games so that’ll be top 4 done as well. The only good thing about tonight was that i didn’t go to the game. Don’t think i could have behaved myself watching that shite and having to listen to the sanctamonisous Barca crowd. Sad thing is that the scousers should put that Barca side to the sword easily enough.April 16, 2019 at 10:45 pm #1743279
The only way united can start challenging is with arab oil money, from the top to the bottom the club is rotten to the core. Glazers need to go, there need to be change of structure with a football director in place. Then there need to be a clear out of dead woods there should be a clear out years ago but due to the structure of the club too many mistakes were made no accountability the managers took all the blame.April 16, 2019 at 10:46 pm #1743280
@nath44 You are right, and that lack of cohesion, direction and planning all comes down to the owners and who they appoint to run the football club.
@blacky Lingrd is a conundrum, he seemed vital to the way we were playing when Solsjkaer took over, he was brilliant at pressing from the front, at making space for players and creating simple runs and passes. At his worst he is a headless chicken who totally disappears from games, we’ve seen that the last 5 games or so. That says to me he should be a squad player with a key performer starting in his position most weeks.April 16, 2019 at 11:15 pm #1743282
We had 3 shots on target in 180 minutes – 1 shot every hour.
All our attacking players should hang their fucking heads in shame at that stat. But they wont.
This is United under Woodward where medocrity is celebrated and rewarded in equal measure.
We are headed for the abyss, if we are not there already.April 16, 2019 at 11:26 pm #1743285
Manchester United have lost four consecutive away matches in all competitions for the first time since October 1999 Ole featured in all four of those 1999 defeats. Recurrence.
Lol reset buttons all over the fecking place miss out on CL buy to get back in but not whilst finishing 2nd fail again buy again what a disastrous running of a club!April 17, 2019 at 6:40 am #1743293
@mike2005 – “Brilliant at pressing from the front”, that comment sums the guy up in an absolute nutshell I’m afraid. The game is called football mate, and it’s what you do with that little bag of wind at your feet that defines your abilities and your worth to the team, especially if you are supposed to be some sort of a forward player, not doing a series of shuttle runs from one opponent to the other and then when you do get possession playing a 2 yard square pass or just coughing it up like that useless fucktard does.
He is not fit to be a first team player or a squad player, in fact I wouldn’t give the talentless twat a job serving sausage and chips on a tray with gravy at Lou Macari’s chippy, simple as that.April 17, 2019 at 6:58 am #1743294
Solskjaer has some tough decisions to make between now and the end of the transfer window. Martial, Pogba, De Gea, Rashford and Shaw are players we should be looking to add to but are not good enough at this moment in time.
Young, Herrera, Mata, Darmain, Jones, Rojo, Valencia, Sanchez and Bailly need to move.
Smalling, Fred, McTominay, Dalot, Lakaku, Lindelof, Matic and Lingard are first team players not looking like long term solutions.
Good luck.April 17, 2019 at 7:04 am #1743295
What’s happened to Martial? Is there anyway we could get a big team to pay us 80m+ for him?April 17, 2019 at 7:27 am #1743306
You need to get some spelling lessons Mike2005, you clearly meant to say Lingard is a cunt.April 17, 2019 at 7:43 am #1743311
Never understood how a player like Lingard has gotten regular starts in big games under LvG, Mourinho and Solskjaer! It’s equally as baffling that he starts regularly for England. If we’re heading in to next season with him as a regular starter again then it will have been a poor summer transfer window.April 17, 2019 at 8:00 am #1743318
The players are too blame for the last couple of weeks. Since Ole signed the contract for becoming manager, the players stepped of the peddle to perform. Before he signed everyone was flying and played the United, but look at us now!! Sad in words!!
Pogba is far the best before Ole signed, now he is the worst of them all, his head is at RM and he wants more money. For Young he is too old for this level. Fred is thge worst signing. Which South American player has been brilliant for United?? No one and we still buy South American players, do we never learn. Jones is weak and too much injured. DDG deserve the salary what Sanchez is getting, he proof that over the years. Talking about Sanchez, he is not even trying to collect 500K per week by being injured or playing poor!! We need to ship out players who doesn’t want to perform for the manager and club. We all saw that they can and could do that!! Top 4 is far away!!
Talking about the match, quite simple, you never ever give Barca so many room to shoot from distance, they proved that 3 times….the match was already game over by that. I switched to the Juve vs Ajax match, that was some match. Ajax played amazing and they get not paid much, the play with passion and fight all the way.April 17, 2019 at 8:38 am #1743337
Paper quote – Ronay:
“On the stroke of half-time Lionel Messi did something awful, but also quite funny, to Phil Jones. Messi had spent the previous 45 minutes picking up the ball in half-spaces and running in a series of vengeful repetitions at Jones and Chris Smalling.
This time Messi took the ball just past the centre circle. He saw the space ahead of him. He also saw Jones ahead of him. As the United man veered back into his path there was a nutmeg so gentle it was almost loving.
The Camp Nou let out a roar. Jones surged back gamely but could only watch as Messi jinked past the other way, teasing him the way you might tease a fond, lovable old family dog with a paper cone on its head and one good eye.”
I’d take a one-eyed dog over half that team last nite….April 17, 2019 at 8:44 am #1743339April 17, 2019 at 10:29 am #1743387
Well that was embarrassing in terms of the game!Again we played with 10 men from the beggining-Pogba was nowhere to be seen during the match! Was chatting to a few Barca fans before, during and aftert the game-they were simply feeling sorry for United & us fans,of how low we have fallen.April 17, 2019 at 10:36 am #1743389
The atmosphere inside the NC is always mesmerising,@hatters m8! I felt captivated, its like a trance-state environment inside that ground! Was expecting nothing else in terms of the outcome, but my God that was babies against men,end of! I literally felt like I was watching fucking Dagenham & Redbridge play the mighty Barca-not United.
Their main plyers in Pique,Alba,Busquets,Rakitic,Suarez-are way past their best, they tore us to shreds but make no mistake, any of the City/Spurs or Liverpool will eat them for breakfast!April 17, 2019 at 10:42 am #1743392
Slowly turning into the scum of 92 this. Giggsy shagging his brothers missus, ginger balls is a raging gambling addict & Nicky Butt just attacking every cunt. We all know the Neville’s shag each other & Beckham is a cross dresser
The club is rotten to the core it should have retired in 2013!April 17, 2019 at 10:51 am #1743399
Ha ha uww, wonderful stuff. Yeah, they’re just normal human beings with all the faults normal human beings have mate. They’re certainly not the legends, Gods or whatever else people on here think they are.April 17, 2019 at 10:54 am #1743402
Scholes was a gambling addict??
We all know the Neville’s shag each other & Beckham is a cross dresser LolApril 17, 2019 at 10:57 am #1743403
Redblood you should try going to 70% of the league and cup matches when the ground is not even 3/4 full and people are more interested in being on their phones than watching the game. The only trance like state you’d experience would be falling asleep.
Did you notice though that the gol nord section make most of the noise during big games and get the crowd going? Think that is what Utd are trying to get going with this singing section.
if the football is the same standard next season as this then it’ll take more than that to get OT singing.April 17, 2019 at 11:05 am #1743408
Are we really surprised at this result? This Barca team were held 0-0 at Lyon and them won 4-0 in the Camp Nou. Under Valverde they’ve maybe disimproved overall but are a far more disciplined outfit playing away from home. Even when they’re playing badly, Messi, Suarez, Coutinho or Dembele can create a moment of sheer magic to change the game and regardless of the quality of our squad we don’t have players who can REGULARLY do that, especially in big games.
I would hope that no-one was under the illusion that this squad was up to par given Ole’s good run of results, if they were, their head should have been well and truly pulled out of their arse (no pics) after the last few weeks. There’s a big job to be done, players to be brought in and shipped out. Equally I think we need to start properly blooding young talent next season, Greenwood, Chong and Gomes all need game time next season along with Tuanzebe and perhaps Fosu-Mensah too and see if they’re all worth keeping.
