I don’t know whether reports that I’m reading are serious. But, if they are, Bilic is not the answer.

Over his checkered career he has managed and imploded more teams than Donald Trump has told lies….including Toronto FC, where his touchline antics are legendary. His appointment will shake things up, but on all known form there will not be a happy ending.

God I hope we don’t have to learn this lesson, AGAIN!!!!! as it would make things infinitely worse than they are now.

Looks like your worst fears have been realised Derwent! According to reports he’s signed a two year contract. Surely he can’t be worse than the dinosaur and the other idiot we had!

my my how dissalusioned we are,he didnt do a bad job at west ham , he may not be what any of us wanted ,but he isnt a bad manager. im expecting him to buy 3/4 players plus start some youngsters , maybe field in center mid , edwards up front alongside jay rod if hes still here, maybe oshea in defence with hegazi , lets give him a chance at least , he deserves that. yes were not going to do a wolves or villa were not going to spend big money. expect to be a mid table team next year. our problem is our owner, hes not interested , no passion for the club , hes not going to spend money. so lets give bilic a chance ,see who he brings in , if he gives the kids a chance , we might be surprised

I think we’re all relieved that an appointment has been made. And yes Bilic may be a risk but so could anyone who’s prepared to manage the Baggies. We missed our two big chances in the summer of 2017 and even in during the following season, firstly by failing to sack Pulis. At the time we could almost have had our pick of managers. When we finally sacked him we appointed the even more inadequate Pardew. Since then there was always a strong element of risk in any appointment – Bilic is probably better than most.

Agree totally with Sarky, its a good appointment imho, surprised he as come. His stock is low at the moment with his last appointment turning bad. I like him and more than willing to give him the chance he deserves. His biggest problem thou is gonna be his squad, we are gonna lose J Rod and with Gayle gone we are in trouble goal wise. Interesting times ahead and my forecast in hope is playoffs.
