We need to maintain that way of playing. We need to press the hell out of teams and just relentless running
We need to go to old tarford with the sane attitude. Far to many times we have gone there and just not been up for the fight. We need to go there and get in their faces and be well yo for it.
They be badly looking to do us over. We need to defend and take our chances. We can’t be timid going there. Show some balls and this game will really show us if we champions materialFebruary 10, 2019 at 9:31 am #1725149
Don’t see why we cannot beat United at OT. As long as we don’t get any more injuries or sickness.
Same team as yesterday, except TAA and Henderson in for Milner and KeitaFebruary 10, 2019 at 10:20 am #1725157

If we turn up we can songman. The problem is to many times in the past we are not up for a fight there. We are way to timid and our best players don’t turn upFebruary 10, 2019 at 10:42 am #1725165
injuries have cost us a lot in the last games but Klopp should have signed 1-2 players…
We need Gomez back asap but when will he be ok???February 10, 2019 at 12:23 pm #1725194
According to physioroom.com Gomez back end of MarchFebruary 10, 2019 at 12:41 pm #1725201
KLopp said the other day they are targeting a 4-6 week window.February 10, 2019 at 2:11 pm #1725229
Wish we had James Maddison for our corners. Ours are still so, so bad!February 10, 2019 at 2:13 pm #1725230
Song, I’d be absolutely amazed (and obviously over the moon) if we won at United. I echo Sean’s comments completely; it’s rare we turn up there with sleeves rolled up.February 10, 2019 at 4:03 pm #1725268
End of March!! Very bad news!!February 10, 2019 at 4:31 pm #1725284
Rob, if we want to win the league,we have no option but to beat United away, hard as it may seemFebruary 10, 2019 at 5:06 pm #1725306
We have to win everybody because City has been very strong and has very easy program until May!! We had 2 chances against Leicester and West Ham but we threw them into the garbage.February 10, 2019 at 6:39 pm #1725341
Two very predictable home wins today highlighting further how we MUST take care of our own business until May without looking at those around us. Just think insular and each game as a separate project. We have too. As bad as Chelsea were today City are an animal at the moment.February 10, 2019 at 10:14 pm #1725395
The Vardy missed penalty was a big moment, and had that gone in, I’m not convinced Spurs would have won.
City were fired up today and did look good. But they’re still less consistent compared to last season. And their fixtures will start piling up.February 11, 2019 at 10:04 am #1725496
Rob, my thoughts exactly, Liverpool have to focus on Liverpool only, and on one game at a time only, and I believe we have a team that can do it, so hopefully no more serious injuries to key players.
But also our matchday fans now have a crucial role to play in getting us over the lineFebruary 11, 2019 at 6:52 pm #1725701
If we win against Utd, the title will almost certainly end up at Anfield. Utd are going to throw everything at us amd i seriously doubt they want to see the title at Anfield. If we withstaand that assault we can withstand anything thrown at us in thr league.
A draw would mean a prolonged punching match with City until the end of the season and a loss might just unsettle our rythm too much… Still the lads respond every time after a loss… Not all would be lost.February 11, 2019 at 10:23 pm #1725758
Totally agree NB mate, United will throw the kitchen sink at least we can predict that. Attacking wise this season we have been very good but the one aspect of our play that is missing is long shots… The only time I can remember a sustained period long shots was against Everton, United at Anfield and Sturridge goal against Chelsea. I wish we had people confident to try the odd long ranger, that’s what Coutinho and to a lesser extent Emre Can gave to our team dynamically wise. Sometimes we seem intent on always walking it into the net like the beautiful goal we scored against Bournemouth.February 12, 2019 at 7:42 am #1725785
Keita’s got an excellent long shot, it just needs to be seen more oftenFebruary 12, 2019 at 11:44 am #1725880
I like seeing those piledrivers going in as much as the next guy but I can’t stand it when we start panicking and going from long distance. We need a player that is capable of doing something spectacular every once in a while, I think that player will be Keita. In the last couple of weeks I have really seen him raising his game, not just the offensive side but the defensive one. I don’t see mistakes in his game, defensive errors anymore. Not like it was when he started earlier in the season and we were wide open through the middle. Now that he has gotten the defensive part of the game down I think we will continue to see him build up his confidence and start delivering infront of the goal.February 12, 2019 at 12:36 pm #1725909
Know its only February but as the season is probably now over regards winning silverware – let’s face it City have it in the bag save major injuries and ECL is a very long shot – I think it’s time to start making plans for 19/20. My priorities would be:
1. Take seriously and stay in the competitions we can actually win (FA and League cups) including by playing our best team for every match!!! Sorry Klopp you’re a great manager with dreadful owners but the game is about winning trophies not reaching finals or finishing second. Why pretend we’re something we are not, you can’t win these things when selling your best players and failing to invest meaningfully beyond the first team. It’s a long season!
2. Who is going to replace Salah since FSG’s annual best player sale means we have our work cut out yet again finding someone of similar quality this summer
3. Find someone from midfield who can actually score a goal regularly
4. Try to buy players of at least half decent quality beyond the first team (without having to sell), are you listening FSG?February 12, 2019 at 1:22 pm #1725920
timetogobr you should read up on the law of O’Toole…
