I do not know how this will go because I know that Pep will make changes because that is what he does. In a way, I admire that because like so many of us we are set in our ways. Of course he is going to loose games, Bournemouth is a potential banana slip but when you look at the players we have, it should not even enter our head, so it is down to team selection and tactical plan,….over to you PepAugust 25, 2017 at 12:43 am #1522218
Sorry I have no admiration for this man ..the next few games will decide when I start to have some for him..the Everton game tactics were bewildering..August 25, 2017 at 3:24 am #1522223
Interesting to see who plays at left(wing)back now that Danilo will replace Walker on the right and Mandy still not available. Fernandinho would be the best bet, certainly not Sane. I also think it time to drop Jesus, he’s been poor against both BHA and Everton. Pity we didn’t go after Aubameyang.August 25, 2017 at 3:17 pm #1522480
Sterling deserves a start because of his energy but I would partner him with Augerro and bench Jesus for a game. I think we will have another LB next week but for now Fernandinho is the only possability but then we can have Bernando or Yaya as well
I do not see any problems with our keeper, the media are trying to and build up on any little mistake and make a mountain out of a molehill. Mendy needs to start with Danilo on the other side…awsome combinationAugust 26, 2017 at 11:40 am #1522675
Oh no, Jesus preferred to Aguero, perhaps it won’t matter, but we’ll see.August 26, 2017 at 11:44 am #1522676
I got beaten to it. Jesus for Aguero – ridulous.August 26, 2017 at 12:29 pm #1522688
Ageuro on bench….and sterling in the middle?!!August 26, 2017 at 12:43 pm #1522698

City just don’t look like scoring. No punch in front of goal.August 26, 2017 at 2:10 pm #1522744
Our play is worse under this management ..

A lucky win in the end, but should have got there a lot earlier.August 26, 2017 at 2:39 pm #1522762
This weekend’s most under appreciated both score and City get three points – funny old game….August 26, 2017 at 2:40 pm #1522763
More lessons to be learned from this encounter, Augerro should have started in my opinion but Jesus did well. Needless Red for Sterling. We need to be a little sharper and should have been prepared for the initial Bournemouth 15 minutes…we could have lost it then. 1-0 for most of the game is a situation you do not want even when dominating, only takes one shot, however, we got that in extra time….which was kindly supplied by Bournemouth with there tactica for settling for a draw. Much work to do before next game. The stupid internationals disrupt teams nowAugust 26, 2017 at 2:58 pm #1522767
Well a very hard fought win today i´m not impressed by city yet this season. 2 things that bothers me we have our sloppy defence, Otamendi is not playing good he is a danger he has poor first touches and is error prone Think he seems to have bad concentration in games.
Fernandhinio also had bad first touches today.
Really no one impressed me today had we that many chanses? no i Think not we need more goal chanses and to be very mutch more Clinical in front of goal and to be show mutch more movements.
And yet we won?? the other thing is all the time spoiling teams is showing, today it bite them in the as but i still don´t like it Bournmouth easy killed of 15 min today from 75 to 90min.August 26, 2017 at 3:07 pm #1522772
Great game to win, the sort of 3 points that you need if you are going to win the league. I’m a little more positive than most on here, see real signs that we are building something here which will hopefully bear fruit over the next few yearsAugust 26, 2017 at 4:04 pm #1522801
As against Eveton, our spirit and effort were commendable. Our least impressive performance of the season though. I thought Sterling was really poor, then he nicked it! I also thought having KDB left and David right made both less effective than they could have been. The two goals we got occurred on the only occasions they swapped. Mike Dean was crazily card-happy in the second half. Have we ever had two such soft sendings off in a season?!August 26, 2017 at 4:29 pm #1522809
I think there isn’t one player in our midfield or defence that sniffs out danger…today in the first half Mendy was pushed high up the field and Otamendi is diving in to win balls leaving the right wing completely exposed. B’mouth scored from this, so did Everton and in the first 20 mins it was a gaping hole.
One thing I noted with Everton, is exactly the same thing happened. Leighton Baines lost the ball high up the pitch and immediately Schneiderlin sprinted to cover the left back position.
We have never replaced De Jong and Barry and until we have a defensive minded holding midfielder then we will continue to run into these problems.
The forward line are missing chances because they are playing under the spectre that we have to score 2-3 goals in a game to win. Take that pressure off them and our goals/target percentage will be increase
